The freezer is 5 degrees and the refrigerator is 54. The freezer fan runs fine. The there is plenty of air circulation in the freezer section. The evaporator is not frosted but there is no circulation to the refrigerator except to the ice room in the left hand french door. There is a strong flow to it.

What have you tried so far?

I discovered the problem when i removed the multi vent tower in the back of the refrigerator. I can see the fan through the opening in the bottom of the refrigerator. I can see it turning and touch it, but feel no air through the opening. I ran the diagnostic test and the dampen opens and closes. It looks like some one spilled so milk in both the rear side vents in the refrigerator floor but that could not have stopped them up could it? I checked the refrigerator sensor at 54 and it was 19.3K and is with in the limits. I AM STUMPED!

Hello
There is no service bulletins on this model. Is the evaporator completely frosted at a -20 degree coil temperature ? If not this could be a start of a sealed system issue. Is the dispenser ice flap closing 100% of the way ? Is the evaporator fan motor running at the correct speed ? Are your door seals good or is there any shelf or food preventing the doors from closing all of the way ? You could have a damper door issue or thermister not sensing the proper FF temperature. Last is main PCB not functioning properly. I would check all of these issues , then start replacing the lowest price parts after completing the diagnostics.

  • It was the result of s gallon of milk that leaked into the vents in the refrigerator. The milk froze even in the freezer vents . The owner had not told me and thought he had sufficiently got it all. We let it thaw a day and the milk ran out.
  • Okay, that explains. Is it working correctly now ?
