The ice maker is dead, the reset button does nothing. Will the im harvest if the ice room thermister is bad? Does the wr23x10580 interchange with the wr55x10025? Do they share the same resistance ratings at certain tempuratures? Is there anything I didn’t check?
Confirmed no ice in mold, checked valve(good), measured 10 ohms at thermister in ice water. Had power at red line and ground at ice maker terminal. Hit reset on ice maker.

Hi. From searching around and my own experience this model does not have any kind of history with frozen fill tubes. Is the ice maker in the freezer on this unit? I do come across frozen fill tubes often. Most of the time there is not a rhyme or reason as to why it froze up. It does happen from time to time. Slow water pressure to the ice maker can cause this to happen as well as an inlet valve that is not closing completely. Excessive condensation build up around the fill tube will cause it to freeze as well. Make sure the doors are sealing and the unit is working properly. Is the house very humid? What is sealed in place with silicone?

Thank you for the question. It doesn’t look as though they are interchangeable. Do you know if the fill line is frozen? Do you have good water pressure. The ice maker may not cycle right away if it is cold. Please also try to turn the ice maker off for 1 min, then push and hold the power on button for approximately 3 seconds. This on some models will force a cycle and fill. Please let me know what you get as a result. If still no ice, you most likely have an ice maker problem.
