i have a frigidaire not cooling on the food side, air vent blowing on top where the electronic control board assembly that connected with water filter the vent is clear no ice block, at bottom of refrigerator vent clear no ice block. on the freezer side, i open it and see evaporator coil ice build up. iIdefrost ice and check the bimetal thermostat, heating element and evaporator fan all working and has continuity about 2 hours later frost and ice begin to build up again, i suspect is the electronic control board, can you please help with proper diagnose method to pinpoint the defected parts.

What have you tried so far?

upper vent is clear fan blowing, bottom clear. thermostat good heating element good evaporator fan good. what are some of the possible suspect? and how to correctly test them. thank you. after defrosting ice and frost build up again. need help

Hi. It sounds like your unit is not self defrosting, if you had heavy frost across the evaporator. This blocks your air flow to the refrigerator section. If your heater and bi metal test good, the only thing left in the defrost system would be the main control board. p# 241739711. This is exactly how I would diagnose a bad control board. By process of elimination. This unit does not appear to have a separate defrost control . Once you defrosted the evaporator, it could take up to 24 hours to reach normal temps again, and will work properly until the frost builds back up again, which usually takes about 5-7 days. If you were getting an uneven frost pattern or an ice ball, this would not be a defrost issue and would indicate a sealed system issue. Most likely a leak. Attached is the tech sheet for your unit.
