this unit on the rise cycle will stop and get a blinking led. I have the teck sheet but cannot make out how to read the error code.the led status are 1,o,* and so if it is blinking on rise which one would i read? This is on the critical fail mode table and then it has the No critical fail mode table. What i did on this unit i replace the tranny ot what they call support. I was not doing this before the repair, I do hear the lid lock trying to lock, like the strike is in the way of the lid switch

Page 60-63 list the error codes and how to get into diagnostic mode. It also says that – WHEN ONE OR BOTH CRITICAL FAILURES OCCUR, THE WASHER IS DISABLED.IT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER SERVICE MODE TO REESTABLISH THE WASHER. It appears that your error code is listed on the critical error code table and is for a lid lock error. Each blinking light is for a different lid lock error. You could have a bad lid lock or control board. On page 47 it shows how to test you lid lock.

And it does not sound like the Lid is trying to lock. This is weird also cause I try to cancel out and it will not do it. You think it could be the board and if so tell me how to make sure that is the problem. Thanks
  • Check to see what errors you are getting. If it’s a lid lock error and you already replaced the lock then it must be a controle issue. Strange this wasn’t happening before your repair though. Check all your wiring and connections. Unplugging the j4 connection may not cause your lid lock light to go off. The contol is receiving a signal from the lock and unplugging it will not do any good.

Hi. This error code set up on this machine can be confusing. I have attached the service manual on this unit for you. This should have more detail than the tech sheet. Look at page 62. It gives you the error code table. It shows which LED lights will be lit up for which error code you have. Sounds like you have an issue with your lid lock and that may be the error code you are getting. IT you are hearing the lid lock clicking, it is getting power and you more than likely have an issue at the lock itself.

I replaced the tranny and the lid lock, and now i have the lid and spin lit blinking, but the lid is not locked at all, I disconnected the j4 two wires and the lid and spin lites are still blinking and lid is not locked. Tell me Brian what is the problem and how can i fix it. This unit is driving me crazy. When i depress the power button the lites keep blinking. My actuator wires are on.

Okay Brian I got unit into diagnostic mode , Knob at position #7 (spin and shifter assembly) gave me error code FS and Spin(Blocked Motor) I noticed that while in pos#7 that the shifter was trying to engage the tranny for spin but did not move all the way down to engage. I then ohmed out the wax motor and it gave me OL ohms instead of 900 ohms, so i am thinking I need to replace the wax motor now. What do you think Brian? thanks for all your help
  • Ok. Are the gears not engaging for spin or agitate when the was shifter moves? Check that everything is back into the right place after the transmission repair. The service manual talks about the hall sensor. make sure it along with every thing else is plugged back in. Why was the transmission replaced? Does the motor try to run during diagnostic or test mode?
