So whatever cycle is selected the unit seems to start like normal, valve opens tub fills, it starts agitating, the timer starts counting down time but regardless if its a “Quick Wash” which starts with 30 mins on the clock, it will tick off 2 mins and hang at 28 while the cycle continues for about 5-7 mins – as well if the cycle is “Heavy Wash” which is 1 hour 15 mins, it will count down to 1 hour 13 and the time stays there and again the cycle continues agitating for about 5-7 mins. then in all cycles, agitation stops, machine pumps out, door unlocks and timer starts flashing. There are two short cycles – rinse and spin and drain and spin, both of these cycle run to completion. When it pumps out it seems like the pump cycles longer than normal, running then pausing over and over about a half a dozen times, then stops completely before it unlocks door and timer starts flashing.

Hello

See the manual link below. The normal cycle is 56 minutes and heavy is 1:15. The cycles for all settings Heavy, Normal, speed wash are listed on page #14 . This will show you exactly for each cycle what the Fill, wash, drain & spin times will; be for all cycles. The only thing that is not normal is the slow drain. You may want to verify there is not a partial restriction in the pump causing an issue. There is a drain pump clean out description on page #32.
  • The inverter is p# WH12X10448.

Yes, I know part number, purchased and installed.
  • Ok. Then was it the main board you have not installed? It looks like the main board must be p# WH12X10443. There is also the control panel/ user interface board as well that could be causing the error. Was the communication error the only error code stored?

So, thanks for help on this, had actually replaced both the user interface board that they refer to as the sub, as well as the main or inverter control board that is mounted on the floor in the back. Some of these units had a third board mounted up top and close to the user interface, this model did not. And no, no other codes showed up as I ran diagnostics more than once, and so it was pretty frustrating in desperation I was going through the machine checking every single item and found that the hot water valve had failed and was not throwing a code! Changed it out and the machine is all good.
  • Good to hear! Glad you got it figured out.
