This gas unit wasn’t heating while we were there for her fridge so we took a look. I reset the thermal cut off and it seems to be working just fine now. She asked what it would need if it kept happening, and I suggested a TCO kit. Anything else it could be? Just want to leave her with some general info in case she calls an appliance repair place for help in the future.

Great job on resetting the cut off, the TCO would be a likely problem if heat quits again, and possible the main control. Any appliance repair company she has out will run a full diagnosis, but she’ll at least be a bit prepared. It may run just fine from here on out. Hope this helps.
