In reply to: off balance problem

Hello
See the links below to help correct your out of balance issues. Are you getting the UE error code when this happens? Models built November 2013 (Serial 311 and lower) should have both the Main Board/software and Rotor replaced. If it was built March 2014 replace the Rotor only. See additional links below for more possibilities to help correct your issue.

In reply to: Error code UL noisey

Hello
The UL code is an unbalanced load condition. Go to page #3 in the service manual link below to see corrections for the UL code. I would also run the unit through diagnostics to see if there are any stored error codes. Matt Ace technician

In reply to: FRIDGE SECCION IS WARM

Hi. I would take the drain tube apart and make sure sure it is not clogged. I have found some of these clogged at both ends of the drain will the blow in insulation from the interior of the unit. However, a clogged drain should not cause poor cooling, unless the ice build up on the freezer floor is preventing the door from closing, allowing warm air to enter. The drain tube is part # W10860180. I have attached the tech sheet for you.

Hello
You may have a plugged or impacted blower housing assembly. I would check that and see the service diagnostic manual links below to run through diagnostics. Matt Ace technician

Hello
Have you run the unit through diagnostics? Do you have any error codes or stored error codes ? Did you inspect the evaporator for an even frost pattern ? If not go to page #30 in the diagnostic manual link below. You can check all of your all of your functional components and give error codes so you have a direction to proceed forward to repair this unit. Matt Ace technician

Hi. I have attached the service manual for you. I also attached a premium refrigerator link that will have our repair videos as well as manuals and other information on a similar unit. Did you have an even frost pattern on the fresh food evaporator? Good air flow? Make sure the fan is working properly. Check your temperature sensors. Run the diagnostics and see if you have any error codes.

Hi. I have attached the fast track tech sheet on this unit for you. It will have your error codes listed so you can see what error codes you had on the unit. There is a service pointer for the water reservoir freezing in the fresh food section. Make sure air flow is proper and that there is not frost build up on the evaporators. Check your temperature sensors.

In reply to: No drain.

Hi. I found a tech sheet on a similar unit. Hopefully it will work for your unit as well. It has a diagnostic test mode you can run. It looks like you can test each component separately, without having to allow the washer to fill with water.

Hello
Everything you are telling me indicates a compressed or bent foam seal causing air leakage. If there are any gaps in the foam seal you will get ice and frost build up on the two refrigerant lines on the right hand side. Replace the cover assembly with a new seal. I believe this will rectify your issues. We have seen this happen many times. I sent a link to you for Sears parts on your model.

Hello
1) All LED option flashing lights indicates a power failure has occurred. Press START/Cancel pad and reselect desired option cycle.
2) If Status LED is flashing – That is caused when the door is opened.

See complete diagnostic link below.

Hi. I did not find any videos this exact issue. I attached a few videos I found that were related. You could just have clogged ports in the dispenser preventing good water flow for the fabric softener. This would just need to be cleaned out if that is the case. You can removed the dispenser drawer and then on the top inside the dispenser you will find the ports. You can clean theses with a brush and something small to stick in each of the small holes to clear out any build up. You could have poor water pressure or an inlet valve that is faulty preventing water flow for the fabric softener. I have attached the tech sheet and training manual on this unit for you. These will show how to run diagnostics and run tests to find out what the problem is.

Hi. I have attached the tech sheet for your unit. The ice maker tech sheet will explain how to start and ice maker cycle. IT seems like you were doing it correctly or close. It does not appear that you can cycle the ice maker in the diagnostics. You can fill the ice maker with water in the diagnostic mode. It is common on theses units to have a broken wire to the ice maker at the bottom of the door preventing the ice maker from cycling. Check for continuity through each of the ice maker wires from the wires plugged into the ice maker and then at the connector under the toe panel on the front left side of the unit.

Hello

See ice maker operation . If you are looking to check the optics look at the manual link below for the complete optics system.

Kenmore Ice maker operation
1) After the freeze cycle time has elapsed (36 minutes for normal operation and 29 minutes for
Acceler-Ice), the main control board will send 120VAC to the ice maker.
2) When the ice maker thermostat senses a temperature of 17° +/- 3°F, the thermostat closes.
3) At this point the current now has a path through the thermostat to the motor. (The motor rotates
the drive gear. Inside the module there are copper contacts that ride on copper strips and are
driven by the drive gear. As the drive gear rotates, the contacts will make or break circuits to
control the ice maker operation).
4) The motor will start rotation and the mold heater is turned on.
5) The ejector fingers will stall on the ice cubes until the heater warms the mold to release the ice.
6) The ejector fingers push the ice out of the mold.
7) After the ice is ejected, the motor continues to rotate the drive gear.
8) The water valve is then energized for 7.5 seconds
9) As the water valve is energized, a signal is sent to the main board which turns on the water inlet
tube heater (This heater will stay on for 40 minutes).
10) Every time a harvest occurs and the ice maker fills, the heater will come on again for 40 minutes.
When the ice bin is full, the heater will not be energized. This may cause the ice maker water fill
tube to freeze over a period of time.
11) Once ice is used from the ice bucket and the level of the ice drops below the infrared beam, ice
harvesting will begin again.
12) The ice will be removed from the mold and the ice maker fill tube heater will turn on when the
water fill valve is energized.
