I would make sure the clutch you installed is not binding in any way and is installed properly. If that is installed properly we have found transmissions making internal grinding noises. If that is the case you would need to replace the transmission, sometimes parts company’s call the transmission the gearbox.

Did you check your terminal block from the cord to the block ? Sometimes the terminal block will short out or a wire will burn off the block. Follow the cord back to the block and check it for power.

In the freezer section behind your evaporator is a condensate drain that is plugged. That will cause the water to drain in the freezer and in the refrigerator section. You could have a bad defrost heater or just a plugged drain.  Take off the cover and defrost it with hot water or hair dryer until it drains into the drip pan by the compressor. If it happens again then replace your defrost heater.

Yes, you have a plugged water solenoid valve. Calcium and lime deposits busted loose and plugged up the ice maker side of the valve.Very common issue. Follow the ice maker line down to the saddle valve and shut off, then go to the solenoid valve behind the refrigerator and remove and clean it by running hot water across the inlet openings. If cleaning does not do it then replace the valve.

If the refrigerator is warm and the freezer is cold, we recommend checking your defrost timer. If your timer is defective, it will cause frost in your freezer section and restrict air flow in the refrigerator causing warm temperatures

We suggest starting with the door switch first; make sure the switch is in the closed position.  If the switch is closed, check power to the control panel power in and power out of the panel.

There could a number of things that would cause this issue, do you have the model number by chance?

Here are a few videos that should point you in the right direction

I suggest you shut the unit down 24 hours and let it defrost. You will need to determine what part is causing the unit to ice up. It could be your defrost timer, heater or thermostat

Your main control board sends 12 Volts to the evaporator fan motor. You need to see if you have 12 volts at the harness coming in. Make sure if you have a door switch you tape it closed as some units have power going through the door switch. If you have no power Check the door switch for continuity. If you have a good switch then you most likely have a bad control board.

I would make sure you have correct power coming into the dryer. If electric you need 240 volts to the unit and gas you will need 115 volts. Matt service technician 42.

Jerry,
It sounds like you have a moisture issue. I see you have a dispenser through the door in the freezer. Sometimes the flap on the ice maker door dispenser does not seal completely and lets air in causing moisture. Then the moisture turns into ice causing the ice to stop the evaporator fan blade. Also another thing to check is your door seals to make sure they are both sealing on the top and bottom not letting any air in. Run your fingers around both seals to check for any gaps. The last possibility is to check to make sure your freezer and refrigerator light is not staying on with the door closed, that will cause condensation also. The link below is for a breakdown of your air damper assembly. Let us know how this turns out or if you have any other questions. Matt service technician 42

Elsie, if the ice make continues to ice up, you most likely have an air leak causing condensation from your damper assembly or a door seal leak. You could also have a defective heater on the ice maker. Its on the bottom of the ice maker and you can do a continuity check on it.

You could have a magnatron or transformer going bad.

You most likely have a plugged condensate drain or an ice maker leaking. Shut off your ice maker and if it does not stop then email me back for a video link to a plugged drain.

It sounds like your motor may be shutting off on an internal overload. You may have a bad motor. You will have this symptom because the motor starts at high amprege and then shuts off on an overload. When the overload rests it will come back on for 30 seconds.

Start by checking your vent for good exhaust. You can remove the vent to see if this helps to verify a plugged vent.

Hello
The water comes from the saddle valve at the main water line. You will need to put in a in line water filter in the back of the refrigerator before the water comes in the the refrigerator. Takes about 20-25 minutes to install. See information below. Matt service technician 42

Adam, you will need to check the seal around the door to see if it sealing properly. something they need to be cleaned due to build up of debris after so many cycles especially if you are on well water or have hard water.
