Room environment, refrigerant flow characteristics and acoustics can affect refrigerator operation
sounds. These factors may make sounds more noticeable several times per day when the cooling
system operates. Following the steps in sound kit WR49X24776 may improve the operating sounds
under these conditions. Models affected:GSS20ETHB(BB,CC,WW,SS)

In reply to: Making a loud noise

During spin, a “thunder-like” sound can be heard from movement of one or both side panels.
Movement of the side panels may be seen as the sound is heard. This movement may also cause a
tapping sound to occur from the rear panel area. Follow all the instructions included in the kit to
improve product performance.Models affected:GTW810SSJ0WS

In reply to: odd noise during spin

During spin or agitate certain washers may experience a “clicking” noise from the motor. This noise
sounds similar to placing a baseball card in bike spokes. This is caused by the wire ties that secure
the hall sensor to the motor hitting the motor pulley fan.

In reply to: Not cooling properly

A fan noise will occur if the indoor fan blower shaft is dislodged from the bearing.
If the indoor blower shaft is dislodged, follow the instructions below and replace the bearing
assembly WP01X20843. It can be damaged if the indoor fan is activated for any length of time.

Racking describes one side of the freezer door pulling out further than the opposite side creating
the perception the door is not opening properly (pictured below). It is most noticed when the freezer
door is opened from either side of the handle instead of the center. This racking was by design to
improve the door seal. Four shoulder bolts allow the door to adjust as it closes to provide better
alignment with the cabinet for an improved seal.

The tub bearing and seal just slide in place and may be stuck. No special method to remove them. I have attached a video on replacing the tub seal for you.

In reply to: Leaking water

During single serve brewing a leak may be reported from the dispenser door.
Clogged brew modules may create a leak in the dispenser door or will prevent brewing of coffee.
When one of the piercing pins is clogged water can leak behind the brew module or from vent
tubes inside the dispenser door. Water from the vent tubes can be seen leaking at the bottom of
the door and/or pooling in the fresh food section.

In reply to: No hot water

Hot water dispensing refrigerators may not heat water.
On some Café models the hot water tank will not heat water and the estimated heating time will
not decrease. However, the heater in the tank will operate from service mode.

In reply to: Washer error code 3E

Hi. If your hall sensor is testing out of range more that 15% I would replace it. If the hall sensor does not take care of the E3 error then your control board is most likely faulty. IT sound like you may have the same manual I found, but I have attached in in case it is different.

Mullion may seem loud and some may flip closed during door operation.
Articulating mullions may make an undesirable noise against the bins when the left door is opened.
Occasionally the mullion may also flip back to the closed position during door openings.

Replace the generator board(s) by replacing the induction tray(s), which contain the generator
board(s) and filter board. Replace both trays in the 36” cooktops, even if only one is not operating.
Only one tray is needed for the 30” cooktops.
If the tray is not available due to inventory, replace all individual generator boards. If replacing the
individual generator boards, check the 20 amp fuse on the filter boards for continuity and ensure
the fuse holder clips are tight.
The original part numbers have been superseded and contain updated generator boards.
