In reply to: How to take door apart

Hello
See the link below for complete door removal and how the door comes apart on page #34 -#37 . We do not have a video for your model . The water inlet valve is a DC voltage valve not AC , it should read 13.5 volts DC . Go to page #49 to diagnose the inlet valve. You must be logged in to see the technician diagnostic link below. Hello
See the service manual link below. It sounds like it could be related to the evaporator fan motor if it only does it when close the door that engages a switch to turn on the evaporator motor. You can run this through test cycles in the troubleshooting guide below. Matt Ace technician

Hi. I have attached a pointer for the ice maker and the tech sheet as well. Run test 56 in diagnostics if you have not done so already to see what error code you are getting. It does sound like a temperature issue. How are temps in both the freezer and refrigerator? I have attached another pointer for frost build up on the refrigerator evaporator that causes warm temps in the refrigerator and could possibly affect the ice maker temps and production.

Hi. Most of the time, all lights have to be off to be able to enter into the diagnostic mode. You might be able to enter this mode if the lid lock light is on but no other lights. Press and hold the start button until the green light stops flashing to cancel any cycle the unit may be in. There is a delay on these units when you first plug the unit in. No lights will be on at first, and then you may hear a click after several seconds and then your lights will appear. This will happen even if you unplugged the machine for an extended period of time. After it comes back on, try to cancel the cycle. Sometimes canceling the cycle by pressing and holding the start button in for 5 seconds will also get rid of your lid lock light. If not and you still can not enter diagnostics, you may need to let it sit for several minutes while plugged in so the unit can sense that the basket is not moving and will finally unlock the lid. If not unlocked yet try again to cancel the cycle with the 5 second hold of the start button. Also, when you move the dial to enter into diagnostic mode you will need to do it slowly. If you go to fast the unit will not enter into the diagnostic mode. I have attached the tech sheet for you as well.

Hello
See diagnostics below. Also go to page #2 in the diagnostic guide below for more detailed information. If you do this exactly and cannot get it into the diagnostic mode you will be forced to replace the control.

1) Be sure the washer is in standby mode (plugged in with all indicators off, or all indicators lit but not flashing).
2) There are 5 failure modes that can cause the washer to go out of service, indicated by all of the LEDs lit, but not
flashing. When this occurs, the washer cannot be started until the condition that caused the failure is corrected and the fault code is cleared. Use the following steps to enter into Fault Code Display Mode, view the fault code, and clear logged fault codes.

3) Perform the following sequence of movement using the cycle selector knob.
NOTE: AFTER RESET, sequence “a” through “e” must be completed within 6 seconds, stopping just briefly between each click (resulting in the following sequence: Left – Right – Right – Left – Right, as indicated below).
RESET – Place cycle selector knob pointer at 12 o’clock position and wait 3–4 seconds before proceeding.
a. Rotate cycle selector knob counterclockwise one click.
b. Rotate cycle selector knob clockwise one click.
c. Rotate cycle selector knob clockwise one click.
d. Rotate cycle selector knob counterclockwise one click.
e. Rotate cycle selector knob clockwise one click.
Successful activation of Diagnostic Test Modes will be
indicated by all status LEDs (except for Lid Locked)
flashing ON and OFF in half-second intervals. NOTE:
LED names may vary between makes and models.
Legend: = ON = OFF
Figure 2 – Status LEDs flashing ON and OFF
If the status LEDs do not display as described above, the
sequence may not have been completed within 6 seconds.
Repeat step 2 to ensure this was not the cause. If still
unsuccessful, see Unsuccessful Entry, page 3. in technician manual link below
A troubleshooting tool has been implemented onto the main
control board—a diagnostic LED.
LED ON – The Control is detecting correct incoming line voltage
and the processor is functioning.
LED OFF – Control malfunction. Perform TEST #1: Main Control,
page 12, to verify main control functionality

In reply to: F8E0 ERROR CODE

Hello
F8E0 is a Cooling Fan Speed Too Low Fan speed below 500 rpm, either because the fan is
spinning too slowly or because there is a problem with the Hall Effect sensor. See complete diagnostics link below. Matt Ace technician

1) Unplug range or disconnect power.
2. Pull the range forward and remove the top access cover.
3. Verify there are no obstructions in the blower. If there is an
obstruction, remove it and go to Step 6. If no obstructions, go to
Step 4.
4. Disconnect control board connector P5 and check the fan motor
for 105Ω resistance between P5-1 and P6-3. If the motor test is
not good, replace motor and go to Step 6. If motor tests good,
go to Step 5.
5. Check the Hall Sensor by removing the control board P7
connector and testing for 5 VDC between P7-7 and P7-1. If test
is good, go to Step 6. If test results are not correct, replace the
Hall Sensor.
6. Replace all parts and panels before operating.
7. Plug in range or reconnect power.
8. Start a cook cycle and check for proper operation.
9. Enter the diagnostic mode to view the “Faults” screen. Press
START TIME or DELAY START to clear each Fault code(s)

In reply to: No ice

Hello
See technician link below and go to page #24 for ice maker diagnostics. Have you run the ice maker through the test mode ? Do you have a diode in line with the inlet valve ? See diagnostics below.

Test function starts when test switch is pressed for more than 3 seconds. User shouldn’t force operation while doing test mode, service or cleaning.Test switch will work only when ice tray its in horizontal position, not during ice ejection or water supplying. When pressing the Test Switch, feeler arm will sense and then ice tray will start ice ejection, after twisting, ice tray returns to initial position. When returning to horizontal position, water supply will start filling the ice tray. After this, test mode its done.Test mode cycle elapsed time of 30 seconds its shown as the next sequence:Feeler arm sensing – Ice ejecting – Ice tray returns to horizontal position – Water supply.- 26 -7-2-4 T
