On some Samsung models if your condensate drain is iced over it will cause this type of noise. Check and make sure your drain is open. If the drain is plugged you will get an air blowing noise because the air is released through the drian trap.

Hello
The refrigerator evaporator on the 550 model is a gravity defrost eavaporator. This is how it works.
The temperature control sensing bulb senses the coil temperature and shuts off the compressor.
Since the refrgerator temperature is betwen 38 -42 degrees , the frost manually turns into water and goes down the drain. Why are you getting ice on your evaporator that is not defrosting ? Its because your temperature control sensing bulb is at the bottom of the evaporator and you are starved for refrigerant , or you can say a low refrigerant charge. When you have a low refrigerant charge, the coil temperature is not cold enough for the temperature control sensing bulb to shut off the compressor. Therfore the unit compressor runs non stop and builds ice at the top of the coil. The correction is fixing the refrigerant leak and you will eliminate your issue 100% . There is a 90% chance you have a leak in your evaporator, very common on this model. We have replaced hundreds of these evaporators and we have a video link below on how to replace your exact evaporator. If you have an electronic leak detector or floricent soap bubbles check for leaks in the evaporator. Matt Ace tecnician

Possible causeses for new ice maker not working. See complete ice maker diagnostics link below. Matt Ace technician
1) *** Check if ice maker is turned on ****
2-Check to see if Freezer Temperature is between 0-5 degrees F.
3-Make sure that the harness in the upper part of the Freezer door is well assembled/connected.
4-Ice maker is properly connected. (Self-Test is working).
5-Check electrical continuity of connection between fill tube heater and harness that leaves the door.
6-Check if there is water under the door or behind the refrigerator (Leaking/Defective hose connections).
7-Check that all wiring harnesses are properly connected to the Main PCB.
8) Make sure that the wiring connectors in the upper Door F are reconnected after disconnecting them for
delivery.
*Self test can only be done once every two hours. If necessary to perform self-test again before reaching
the 2 hours, unplug the refrigerator from the electricity and plug back in again.

Ice buildup on the freezer evaporator can be caused by . Go to pages #276 , #277 and #279 in the link below for more solutions. Matt Ace technician
1) A starved evaporator / leak in system.
2) A blocked drain. It is possible that the drain is not being defrosted by the heaters enough to properly
clear the drain and pass the melted water into the catch pan.
3) Check for signs of air infiltration around the drain and behind the evaporator cover.
4) Verify the evaporator fan housing is installed properly.
4. For models without a drain heater, make sure the metal drain clip is touching the defrost
heater.
5. Verify the drain heater is not open (where applicable).

Concern:
Dead or intermittent operation of UI Console Keypad and/or the start/cancel
button operate intermittently or fail to operate.
Cause:
Intermittent or failed button operation on the UI can result from a number of
different causes, including loose wiring, improperly placed button domes, and
ordinary wear and tear. A number of customers have reported intermittent
or failed button operation due to corrosion or silver migration on the ribbon tail of
the flexible membrane switches found in the Classic-style Console Assemblies. See Techniocian diagnostic sheet link below for further troubleshooting information.

I know you have checked the pump. Did you inspect it throughly to make sure the pump and hoses were not restricted with debris ? What error core are you getting ? Did you run the unit through diagnostics to see if there are any stored error codes ? If not see the link below below for running this unit throgh diagnostics. When getting a ND DRAIN ERROR here are the most common causes .
1) Check for Foreign material entering the pump or hoses.
2) Check to make sure the wiring harness is connected properly.
3) Check the water pump terminal .
4) Check for frozen water in pump, highly unlikly this time of the year.
