Hello
The main function of the resistor in a circuit is to control the flow of current to other components. Take a light bulb for example. If too much current flows through the bulb it is destroyed. So a resistor is used to limit the current. The continuity test applies a very small voltage to the circuit and check what current flows through it. If the current is larger than the lower limit (for continuity test of your multi meter), it beeps. For example, you cannot have a beep testing a diode, because it has a voltage drop (about 0.6V). If you measure a resistor with less than 10 ohms, probably you will hear the beep. If you check your multi meter it will not be hard to specify the maximum resistance or voltage drop to make it beep. When the (Smart Auto) & ( Heavy ) lights are blinking the error is a (over-level water error ). This occurs when overflow detection AD data is 3.5 volts or below for 3- seconds. Or when leakage sensor detects 3.5 Volts or below for 1- second during water supply.
Possible causes :
1) Flow meter
2) Water supply valve
3) 2) Main PBA

Hello
How long is the vent ? How many 90 degree and 45 degree fittings do you have ? If the outside vent flap is opening that is not 100% confirmation of proper air movement to eliminate thermal fuse from opening . If it is a short vent with no 90/45 degree fittings and you feel great air flow I would put on a cycle thermostat. If you have a long vent, pull out the dryer and put on a thermal fuse and put on the ProFlex Indoor Dryer Vent Kit for two weeks to verify it is a vent issue. This will bypass the vent completely and confirm you have no other issues after two weeks. Then either clean the vent or refer to a vent cleaning specialists. This is an easy way of process of elimination for $10.00 and you can keep it for future use of the same issue. See the link below for Proflex. Matt Ace technician

Hello
Yes, we did . It sounds like the only thing left would be the display board. There may be a short in this board causing the issue. I find the part number for this part to be 242041101. You have already replaced the main board, A01164906 and the dispenser module, 242100019? If so I think it’s a bad Display board, Unless there is a short in a wire somewhere. I do not see any other control boards, such as a separate ADC board or any other possibilities. I have attached the tech sheet for you. It does show any diagnostic mode or error code display.

Hello
If the water inlet tube is developing ice in it , that is caused by low water pressure. I would start at the water inlet valve to see if you have proper water pressure there. If you do not have good water pressure at the inlet valve replace the saddle valve. Matt Ace technician

The part number 316452702 is for the outer door panel . If the outer glass is not big enough or the correct size one of two things can be the issue.1) The customer may not be installing it correctly. 2) The glass is boxed incorrectly from the manufacture. I would call the parts distributor and get a measurement on the glass and compare it to the customers measurement. You can then go by process of elimination , if they are both the same measurement the customer is most likely not installing it correctly. Matt Ace technician

The E RF code is abnormality of the BLDC fan motor in refrigerator section. It is caused when the feedback signal is not received for over 65 seconds from BLDC fan motor.
Refrigerator Fan Error (E rF)
1) Open the freezer door and Check
the air flow.
2) Check the Fan Motor voltage
Is Fan Motor voltage 8~12V?
3) Check the Fan motor.
Rotate fan using hand.
does it feel sticky?
GO TO page #45 in technician link below
Causes :
1) Bad connection to BLDC motor
2) Drive IC defective
3) TR defective

No this question will not be part of the 4- question monthly quota. The display a possible cause and the only other possibility. I see nothing else that could be the cause. I am consulting with three other factory technicians tomorrow and let you know if they all agree with the display. I have looked at the wiring diagram and cannot see anything else in series with the dispenser.
- AV Repair Help answered 8 years ago
By process of elimination, based on the information you have provided, unless there is a short in your wiring it sounds like you have a bad dispenser module. Dispenser module 242100019 attaches in the dispenser housing on the freezer door and includes the cradle, ice chute, and ice chute door. and is widely available. I have attached a link of the part for you.
