Hello
Go to page #26 on the technician guide below for LE troubleshooting . The attachment shows how to diagnose and repair a failed hall sensor, the usual cause of an LE error code.
DO NOT replace the stator until the hall sensor has been tested. 98% of LE error codes are
caused by failed hall sensors.
[DD motor SVC check process ]
Pre Check
1) Gentle wash cycles, such as Perm Press, Dedicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for
smaller loads. Because these cycles are more gentle in tumbling and spinning, putting too much in the
drum can register an issue with the motor. Remove items, reset unit and test with a Rinse/Spin cycle.
2) Don’t replace the PCB when the hall sensor is replaced.
Check the hall sensor as shown in the new process. Matt Ace technician

Hello
If your compressor is not running you either have a defective inverter or a compressor issues. You can do a winding test on the compressor with your meter. Also this model is very common for evaporator refrigerant leaks, look at service bulletin link below. Matt Ace technician

Hi. Yes the damper assembly is common on these units. I have attached a video for this repair. You can check the old one by taking it apart and checking to see if the damper door has broken off. IF the control is not responding you could have other issues as well or this could be related to your freezing issue if the damper is working properly and not broken. IF you can not change the temp settings or the buttons are not responding you could have an issues with the temp control board. P# WR55X10120. Or it could be an issue with the main control board. P# WR55X10942 . If the water is not dispensing see if you get power to the inlet valve when you press the dispenser. IF not the dispenser or wiring is the issue. If you get power make sure you inlet valve is good. You could have a frozen line in the door which is common on these. There should be a water connector under the toe panel under the freezer door. Take this off and then try to dispense water to see if you get water to this point in the water line. IF so, the line is frozen in the door. I have attached the service manual for you on this unit.

Hi. It is common for the tub of these units to bang against the sides of the cabinets a little as it goes into high speed spin or slows down from a high speed spin. As long as the shocks are good and the unit is level it could just be off balance loads. With this type of suspension, these unit go off balance a lot easier that other models. Make sure the customer is not running small loads. Small loads are the worst as they will ball up to one area of the tub and cause this to be much worse. I would go into the diagnostic mode and check your stored error codes. Also, with the unit empty run the auto test and see how it does. I do not think the auto test will give a full speed spin so run a drain and spin with no clothes or a manual spin test. I have attached the tech sheet for you and some videos for this style washer.

Hello
This is the VMW style unit. Of course first check for overloading or uneven loads. Then second check and see if you can push the tub down , it should only rebound one time and should be fairly stiff . If it bounces two or three times the suspension rods are going bad. Replace rods. Hi. 14 E appears to be an Ice maker error code. When power gets restored to these units they will run a self diagnostic mode and display any errors. This ice maker error does not seem related to the FF section not cooling. However the unit may not run until the error is cleared. FIrst, I would give the unit a good reset by unplugging for 15 mins or unplugging and shorting the plug terminals out to ground. The plug back in. I have attached the service manual on this unit for you. To clear the error codes enter into diagnostic mode and then exit. This will bring the unit back to normal running conditions and display the correct temperatures. I usually find it to be a glitch when these do not read the proper temps on the display. Hopefully resetting it will take care of it, but check in the diagnostic mode for any other error codes that it may have stored that could relate to the warm fresh food temps and proceed from there.

See troubleshooting guides and video’s on your model. Run the unit through diagnostics with the Fast Track diagnostics for error codes. This should pinpoint the exact issue and show stored error codes. Matt Ace technician

Hello
From what you are saying it sounds like the plug in harnesses are not the same . Unless there is a retrofit harness that adapts to the new five pin connector you most likely have the wrong board. If there is a new plug or revision it will be with instructions in the new board box. I would call the parts distribute to verify this is the correct board. I have provided complete diagnostic manual link below to verify if you have a board or condenser motor issue. Matt Ace technician

It appears this is a Samsung built unit. From the parts diagram I believe the fresh food evap fan is p# DA97-01150A. This is a 2 wire 12 VDC motor. On a lot of models the door switch has to be closed for the fan to work. So check that first. Then when the fan should be running check for 12 VDC to the fan motor. IF you have proper voltage to the fan and it is not running the fan is bad. IF no voltage to the fan then you could have a faulty control board or wiring. You could also check the fan for resistance, but I am not sure what ohm reading this fan should have. If you get no resistance or a reading that is way to high or low then we can assume the fan is bad. I could not find a tech sheet on this unit.

Hi. I have also attached a service manual for a similar unit. It is strange that it will not give any error codes. Have you tried to run the diagnostic cycle to recover any stored errors? If not, you will want to run the diagnostics to see if there are any stored errors to go off of. One thing I have ran into on the top load Samsung washers are faulty shocks. This can cause the exact symptoms you are getting. Check your shocks. I have seen them wear out with in the first year or so of owning the washer.

Hello
See technician sheet link below. Go to test #192 for ice maker. The ice maker should not continually cycle, that is definitely an ice maker issue. Once you install a new ice maker you will need to check for at least 1/2 inch of water across the complete bottom of the tray. Matt Ace technician

Hello
See the link below with the troubleshooting guide. Do you have any error codes ? I would start on page #22 troubleshooting. There are many possibility that would cause a frost build up and freezing food in fresh food section. Have you have checked the door seals and and made sure all doors are closing without obstructions. Have you checked the defrost system and the defrost sensor. Is the refrigerate damper motor closing when the refrigerator temperature is satisfied ? These are the most apparent issues that can cause these issues. Matt Ace technician

Hi. You should have some stored error codes. The first thing I would do is put the unit into diagnostic mode and see what error codes you have stored. I have attached the tech sheet and some repair videos for you. It sounds like you could have a bad shift actuator. IF you get a basket speed fault error and a unable to reach target RPM error I would suspect the shift actuator.
