Unfortunately this is a common problem. What has happened is that the heat relay on the main control board is getting stuck and constantly sending power to the element. After a while the element and thermostats take such a beating you end up with the situation you walked in to. The part number for the main control board is DC92-00382A and should cost around $100. I could not find a repair video on the replacement procedure but it is in the upper left side underneath the top. With the amount of tear down you have already done you have no doubt seen the location of this board along the way. You only need to remove the top for this. I have attached a link to the part so you can see it. Good luck.

Hi. Is the dryer taking longer than it should to dry a load? If so, you more than likely have a air flow issues. check air flow. make sure the vent is clean. Check for lint build up in the blower / lint filter housing. Make sure the blower wheel is attached to the motor shaft and not reamed out. Also, make sure you you can easily blow through the lint filter and feel the air come out the other side. Or put it under the sink faucet and see it water runs through it. If water or air is not passing through the lint filter, it is blocking the airflow and needs to be cleaned or replaced. You could have a timer that is cutting out as well. Try to wiggle the timer knob while in a heat cycle and see if the heat cuts in and out. I attached the wiring diagram for you.

Hello
Do you have any error codes ? Have you run the unit through the diagnostic mode ? If not see the diagnostic troubleshooting link below. If your freezer and refrigerator both are not at correct temperatures I would start by looking at the evaporator to check its frost pattern. I would also make sure the evaporator fan motor is running. There are many possibilities but start with these suggestions. Matt Ace technician
