f06 is a error in from the motor to the mcu indicating a error with the tachometer in most cases you need a new mcu but you will need to refer to the tech sheet for specific values to look for to test the tach on the motor.

In reply to: Control Board Issue

Hi. This does sound like a control issue. Unfortunately, unless you can catch the unit in its failed state you will not be able to do any test to diagnose the issue. With the unit failed, with no display, you could check for proper voltage to the main relay on the control board. It should be 120v. IF power is there then you have a faulty board. If not you have other issues. I would check for voltage loss at the outlet while unit is running. Check for faulty door switches or a burnt filter board/fuse holder and wiring also.

Hello
If its a model #532 series it will be a refrigerant R12 or (Hot shot) . This is a medium temperature compressor and it should be running at a suction pressure of 26-32 PSI. It should have a head pressure of 125-135 PSI. If your suction pressure is below 26 PSI . you have a leak in the system. If you are running a high suction pressure of 35 to 60 PSI, that is telling you that you have a suction valve in the compressor leaking through. This will mean a compressor replacement. If the compressor is making noise when running I am sure you have a suction or discharge valve hitting the interior shell of your hermetic compressor. The only correction for that is a compressor replacement. I hope this helps, Matt Ace technician.

Here is a video on a similar dryer and element repair. TO test the element you test it for continuity with your meter. IT should have continuity and not shorted to ground or cabinet. Your unit will come apart differently. There will be some screws to remove the control panel. Then some screws under that for the front panel as well as more at the top of the unit.

This is for a shorted touch panel. The tech sheet says if error can not be cleared to replace control board. More that likely the issue is with the touch panel.

I am not able to find a tech sheet or that error code for this unit. I am very familiar with this unit. It is built by Whirlpool and the tech sheet is located at the top left corner of the front panel. Once you lift the top panel you can reach in and get it. Then we can see what that error code means.

We have ran into this many times. Usually something spilled on the cook top, like water boiling over. The water gets into the switches and causes this. Unplug the unit and let it dry out for 24 hours. This will usually take care of it. If not you could have a shorted switch. You can test each switch for continuity to see which is faulty. Possibly a faulty spark module but not likely

What have you tested or checked so far? There are a lot of options for a no heat dryer. Element, fuses, timer, or voltage issue.

Check for proper voltage at the lid switch. 120V when its open and 0 when closed. If you getting proper power to the lid switch check for power to your motor. If not getting voltage at lid switch, check your timer. Also, check for a broken wire. I have attached the wire schematic for you.

Hello, i did not find anything on a 22c error code, But what i can tell you is that if the compressor is running and all fans are working you need to look at the frost pattern on the coils, odds are there will be no frost pattern. With no frost pattern you will need to hook up some gauges and see what the pressures are.

A relay is not the same as a capacitor. I am attaching a video of a 3 in 1 start kit that is easy to install and inexpensive. The part number is URC0410 and should be readily available. It will work on your compressor and may be a better solution for you.

What is on there now? You must be able to understand and utilize the detailed instruction sheet in order to complete this repair and there is no shortcut to the outlined procedure. It should be clear what to do if you look carefully. Any instructions we give you would be based on that information .Please refer to the instruction sheet, and as i stated this is an application that may need a skilled repair person if you can not understand the instruction sheet directions.

We do not have any videos or pictures in our files on this. It is typically a job for a skilled repair person. The instruction sheet with the part is the most detailed information available and should guide you through the replacement process . You must be able to utilize the instruction sheet for proper application as it is the only source available on this specific application.

Hello
I am assuming you have a ice maker not producing ice and the unit is cooling properly. You should have temperatures of -5 to +10 degrees for the ice maker to harvest properly. I have provided links below to help with your issues on this model. Matt Ace technician

Hello, after looking at this model I see there is no mechanical defrost timer that could be a issue. this is a digital fridge I would have to say the main control has gone bad. Section 8-22 and 8-23 of the attached document will give you the parts break down you will see the control is the only part that would effect those two issues.

Hello, can you confirm that all parts you changed were bad? if they were i would think you have a shorted wire somewhere. but if you are not sure if they were actually bad next step would be to check the door switches, i am not sure why but ge microwave door switches go bad pretty often. I have attached a basic repair manual microwave section starts on page 55
