Did this unit get wet? Something boil or spill over into the switches? This will cause the switches to spark all the time even when off unless you unplug the unit. If this is the case, usually you can unplug it for 24 hrs to dry out and it will stop. If this is only happening after the burner has lit it could have a short somewhere or voltage could be incorrect. Does this happen when you turn on any of the burners or only a certain one?

In reply to: not drying

Sounds like a venting issue to me. If it works properly and you have proper air flow when the vent is off then is has to be too long or clogged or pinched. There could be an air restriction inside the dryer itself. Lint build up in the blower or air duct, a blower wheel that is broken, or a lint screen that is not allowing air to pass through it. Try to run some water through the lint screen. that water should pass through it easily. If it holds water you will need to replace or clean it. The next thing would be to take the bottom panel off in the front. There are screw on the bottom to remove. Then you have access to the blower housing. Remove that and check the blower wheel and for lint build up.

Does the timer stop at a point and not advance through the cycle? IF so if very well could be a defective timer. IS the unit getting water and washing properly? The timer part number is 154409001

The error codes will blink 2 sets of lights. Was this blinking at you? I do not think you were in the error code section. That does not even look like a partial error code. Once you do the dial turn sequence and all the lights are flashing, turn the dial once to the right(clockwise). Only the done light should be lit up. Now press start. This is the error code section. All the lights should be flashing again. Turn the dial once to the right and it will now show your first error code. It will blink 2 different sets of lights for the error code. I have attached the tech sheet for this unit. This is all explained starting on page 2.

In reply to: Evaporator fan motor

Hi. I show the part number for the fan motor as 5303918549. Shows it comes with a wire harness as well. Did you install the harness with it? Looks like a standard 120VAC, one speed motor. It shouldn’t be changing speeds. I have attached some videos on this repair at the link below. How long has the fan been installed? If it continues to do this and the repair and part number check out good, it could be an issue with the adaptive defrost board, or wiring. Is this the only thing pulsating or acting funny?

In reply to: leaking

When you say there is no pressure to the top, I assume you are saying the top spray arm is not rotating. If so, make sure you have proper water pressure to the unit. If your not sure that it is getting enough water, after the unit fills at the beginning of the cycle, open the door and add a few big cups of water from the sink. Then start it back up and see if it makes a difference. If the top starts to rotate will the extra water added, then you will need to correct the water level. It could not be getting enough water pressure to the unit (shut off valves are common to get clogged) or the inlet valve could need to be replaced. If the unit is getting proper water and still no top arm rotation, then the sump area/ filter could be clogged reducing water pressure. With the water leak, you may need to pull the unit out to find out exactly where that water is coming from if you can not see if from the bottom. Sounds like the drain pump or the drain hose. Replace which ever one you find causing the leak.

Hi. Sounds like you are getting an error code. Error codes are present when unit stops in the cycle and lights are flashing. You will need to put the unit into the diagnostic mode and check the error codes. I have attached a video to show you how to do this. Once in the diagnostic mode turn the dial until just the done light is lit up. This should be just one turn of the dial. Press start and now you can turn the dial to see all the stored error codes. The first error code is the most recent error code. Let me know what your error code is and we can go from there. Typically I find a bad capacitor when it has this symptom of hums right away at the beginning of the cycle and the drum does not move and then shuts down right away. Make sure the harness is connected to the capacitor, which is on the bottom of the unit. Check the capacitor for any melted plastic or bubbles. They usually will be visually defective. I have attached a video for the capacitor repair as well.

That is strange. Couple questions for you. In diagnostic mode do you have to depress the paddle to get water to dispenser? Also, which board did you replace? p# 67006390? Did you program the new board with the correct code on the model sticker? I have also attached a link with our repair videos on similar modes even though they are not for this exact issue.

We have replaced the ref door gaskets on this GE ref using part WR14X10237. These new gaskets are not sealing properly. Even after heating the gaskets up with a steamer, there are gaps, primarily on the top and bottom of each door. You can also look at the unit water line frozen in the
door, see below.

Cold Temperatures in Fresh Food Section
CONCERN:
Under Certain Conditions, the following Single Speed Compressor models may exhibit colder temperatures in the lower shelves and vegetable pans / crispers: PFIC1NFZ; CFCP1NIZ.
SYPMTOMS:
-Freezing Vegetables in the vegetable pans / crispers
-Freezing water coils
-Freezing in the Lower Shelves
POSSIBLE REPAIR:
-Check (Frozen Double Coil Water Tank Service Bulletin REF01-11) to make sure water tank is located properly.
-Check (Bottom-Freezer 21-25: Fresh Food Freezing/Fresh Food Cabinet Freezing Service Bulletin REF 08-09) to make sure damper is properly sealed.
-Check the customer’s food loading pattern to make sure the thermistor is not blocked and that the air duct is not blocked or loose.
-If the above checks are OK, you can order a control board WR55X11105 which adjusts the operation of the unit to provide warmer fresh food temperatures for these Single Speed Compressor models only.
If you order a WR55X11105 board, please message

After 10 minutes of operation the dishwasher goes into cancel drain and stops. This issue can be very
sporadic. Technicians will find a 6-1 error code recorded in the service diagnostics

See repair videos: https://www.appliancevideo.com/?cat=&s=dishwasher+stops+mid+cycle&post_type%5B%5D=post&post_type%5B%5D=premiumvideos&post_type%5B%5D=fromthefield&post_type%5B%5D=embdvideo

Possible Causes:
This issue may be caused by:
• Siphoning through the drain hose
• Severe Sudsing
• Debris in the sump
• Control Board software error may cause a false error code resulting in cycle cancellation. (This issue is more
likely to happen in areas that are susceptible to abnormal power supply variations)
Correction:
If the customer has a cancel drain issue, check the following:
1. Make sure the dishwasher is installed according to installation instructions provided with the unit.
2. Check for water siphoning out through the drain hose. Insure that the drain hose termination point is
above the water level in the tub. (The drain loop must be attached to the side of the tub and high enough
to prevent siphoning.)
3. Check for severe sudsing or a malfunctioning Rinse Aid dispenser.
4. Check for locked rotor in wash pump.
5. Remove any debris in the bottom of the sump/chopper area.
6. Check for water supply and proper water level in the dishwasher.
7. If all the above checks are OK, then the control will need to be replaced with one that has upgraded
software designed to handle abnormal power variations.

Hello
The pump you need to install ( Drain Pump WD35X20875 ) Comes with a harness and sensor. There is no way to do this job without removing the unit. We have done several of these and I consulted with three technicians and came up with the same conclusion of needing to remove the unit. When we run into a situation like yours with a floor built up, we have the customer call a contractor to uninstall the unit for service. This minimizes liability for you. Sorry we could not have been more help. I ma surprised we do not have this pump on our site with the over 4,500 videos we have now. i am sure with the 40-50 new videos per month it will be their soon. Thanks Matt Ace technician

I think you have the right diagnosis. I have seen the boards go bad to where they send voltage to both windings at the same time. Usually the motor wont spin and just hums loudly. The board will sometimes have a hum to it as well. Check and make sure you can turn the basket freely. If so I would replace the board.

Hi. From what I see there is not a replacement icemaker for this unit. It will be the same flex icemaker you will have to install to get the sensor repaired. The arm is what reads the ice level in the bin and there is no way to a just that arm. It is possible that your error code is from the missing sensor. See if the error code comes back after the new ice maker is installed. If so I have always found the main control board to be the issue and not the user interface or harness, but all are possible with that error.

In reply to: stops at rinse cycle

Hi. I would check and suspect your lid switch first. Make sure the screws for the hinges are tight and that the lid is not pushed in. If everything is good it could be the ATC switch you installed. I have seen a lot of these go bad. Usually when you unplug the machine and the swith, it will reset the unit and work for awhile. There is not a way that I know of to test this switch with a meter. Now that it is working, it would not test bad either. If the lid switch is good I would monitor the unit until it has an issue again and then replace this switch if everything g else checks out good.

HI. There should be a test button you can hold in on the ice maker. This will run the ice maker through a cycle. Is the ice maker getting water ? I have attached a manual on this issue. Look at page 213. It has trouble shooting for this ice maker.

Hi. I have attached a video that shows how to get into the diagnostic mode. It shows how to run a test mode as well as calibration. If you need to check error codes, once your into diagnostic mode, with only the done light lit up press start and now your in the error code section. I have also attached the tech sheet for this unit. It has the same instructions on the diagnostic mode as well as lists all of the error codes.

If you unplug the air conditioner and turn the breaker on does it still trip? If so you have a wiring issue within the circuit. If not then the issue is with in the air conditioner or the circuit is getting overloaded. Make sure the air conditioner is off when you plug it in or turn the breaker back on. If it is not an issue with the circiut then there has to be something shorted inside the unit. A wire could be touching the cabinet inside.
