In reply to: COMPRESSOR TROUBLE

Todd
As far as the relay 2.6 is a normal OHM reading. If your compressor is short cycling at 12 amps you most likely a locked up compressor. Our technicians keep a URCO410 hard start kit on their trucks and wire it in to verify it is a tied or locked compressor. Here is a link http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/261529143629?lpid=82&chn=ps

Its the damper fresh food damper control that is causing the #4 flashing and this will also go into a safe mode and cooling issues. The damper part number is # 241600906 . We have had a few of these go out and the damper rectified the issue. Matt Ace technician

Hello this is Cristian a technician at Ace appliance, If the belt was broken and you replaced it the only thing that I would make sure is that the ribs on the belt are facing the correct way. Most of the time the ribs will face against the drum (to grasp it). Also make sure the belt is looped around the idler (tension-er) pulley correctly, if it is not the drum will rotate without a load but not with a load. If you can find out about which side the belt’s ribs are facing it will help point us in the correct direction.

It sounds like you have a part of your defrost system not working. You have three possibilities 1) Defrost timer 2) Defrost heater and 3) Defrost thermostat. I would start with the timer and thermostat replace both of them and defrost the unit for 24 hours.

I would recommend replacing the heater and defrosting the evaporator. That is a very common heater to go out since it is a glass tube. Also recommend the defrost thermostat when replacing the heater. Parts link below.

May need to clear debris out of pressure tube. A clogged tube often causes this problem. I would start there and if does not correct the problem replace the pressure switch.

Hello
It sounds like you have a defective light switch that is also controlling your evaporator fan motor. If your light is staying on it will also cause warm above normal temperatures in the freezer. Warm freezer temperatures will cause the temperature alarm to go off. I have provided a parts breakdown of your appliance along with a video of how to replace your switch and a link to the switch and part number you need below. I hope this resolves your issue. Thanks Matt Ace service technician

In reply to: Not cold enough

I would recommend starting of by checking the thermostat to see if it is open or closed. If its open it will not let the compressor or unit run. See links below on parts breakdown and videos.
