In reply to: Very noisy

It definitely could be. I’d also check the venting if you can, in case any made it past the blower wheel, there could be a build up happening and it’d be a huge safety issue down the road. If after removal the dryer sounded normal again, I’d say you’re good.

Harley, I don’t have one for your exact model/part number, but I do have one. I’ll attach it below for you.

Also, have you tried soaking it in warm water? Will help make it a bit more pliable!

As long as you change out both boot seal and tub bearing you will be fine . It will also agitate better with a new set of belts, after you replace the tub bearing and boot stem. you will need the old Maytag spanner wrench to remove the basket and mounting stem. This will correct your issue. I would try looking for a video at ApplianceVideo.com.Here is the link http://wwJust type in your symptom and look for a free video.
ApplianceVideo.com also has a Free video on this problem. Go to the site and check it out. https://www.appliancevideo.com/

Make sure to clean all visible lint from the cabinet and blower housing. Check your air flow as well. If it’s poor, they may need to have the vent cleaned right now, and then every year. Tell them to set it up with a company so they don’t forget to schedule themselves. You can reset the thermal fuse and do a final check, but that’s probably your best bet from here.

Appreciate you guy’s letting us know! We’ll be sure to pass this along to our technicians.

If under warranty, then techline can also advise you or the customer on procedure until parts arrive. We have done a repair similar to this and they suggested turning the ff temperature up to 40 degrees and allow it to thaw for a couple days. Will likely need to put towels down to avoid damage to floor. Then when you get the part the unit will be accessible. Hope this helps!

In reply to: dryer wasn't starting

Harley, we would have done this exact same thing, so you’re good there. If the dryer was working completely fine and you found no problem, better to leave as is and have the customer keep an eye on it than to make guesses and leave them worrying about it. The circuit may have just been overloaded.

David, this Affinity error code is a low drain flow.

Check the tub to drain hose and ensure it’s clear. If it is the pump, I’ll add a video below that will help you find it, diagnose, and replace if necessary. Let us know what you find, or if you need more help from here.

James, that is correct. I’ll add the part link information below for you if needed. Glad we could help confirm this for you.

In reply to: cannot clear suds code

If you provide me with the model number and make I can help you better. You can try unplugging unit for 10 mins. That might reset it. If not you will need to enter diagnostic mode to clear the code. WIth out the model number I am unable to look that up for you at this time.

In reply to: cannot clear suds code

What is the model number? What error codes are you getting?
You could have soap trapped in your air tube going up to the pressure switch.
Remove power for a few minutes to try and clear the computer.
You should try running the unit empty, no soap, no cloths and see if it completes the cycle. If it does I would recommend running another cycle with a washing machine cleaner to help remove any residual soap left in the unit.
If you are unable to run a complete cycle empty, chances are you will need to replace your pressure switch. If you replace your pressure switch I would also make sure the hose to the switch is clear of soap.
