What lights are flashing on the console? The clean light will flash to represent an error code that is being displayed. You can find this information and the error codes in the tech sheet that is located on the back side of the toe panel. Also, the lights for the button you are pressing will flash if the control lock is on or if the console will not let you select the button you are pressing. New dishwashers can take up to about 6 hrs. to complete a cycle depending on many factors including how dirty the dishes are, how hot the water is, and what cycle and options were selected. I would refer to the use and care guide for this information. If you are not getting an error code to check and you are sure the unit is running non stop and its not just in a long cycle, you must have a bad console or control board. First I would turn power off to the unit for 5 mins and turn it back on to reset the board. See if that works. If you are not able to select the cancel drain button or other buttons have not been working properly on the unit then I would replace the console. IF the console is in proper working order, then I would replace the control board. I have attached links to both parts. The console comes in different colors. The link for the console will take you to the parts break down. Number 1 is for your console. Choose the correct part number for the color of your dishwasher. Also, I have attached a video that will show you how to replace the console and control board on a very similar dishwasher.

Unfortunately, yes. We have rare occasions that one or the other fixes the issue but typically you need to replace both together to solve your issue. Hopefully the customer goes ahead with this. Sometimes buying new is just a personal preference and nothing will offset their thought process on the matter. Good luck!
- AV Repair Help answered 12 years ago
Cristian, this is a door lock error, I don’t have the part number but I’ll see if I can track it down and get it to you.
- AV Repair Help answered 12 years ago
Sam, what about the sensor? Did you check that? We find that sometimes it needs replaced as well as the limiter to keep normal operation. Part number is 00154166.
- AV Repair Help answered 12 years ago
Sometimes a reset and check is all that’s necessary if there isn’t a real problem. If they aren’t going to fix the ice maker error and someone tries to use it, it’s possible it’ll keep storing those errors until it’s fixed. But if they are ok with that, I’d say run diagnostics and ensure it all checks out and you’re good to go.

Appreciate this advice Blake! Always good to remind everyone to slow down and properly diagnose issues.
- AV Repair Help answered 12 years ago
Your symptoms indicate you do not have a good 120/240 volt service to the range. When you turn on a surface unit and it completes a circuit through the surface unit switch and then through the surface element to complete a back-feed circuit to the clock. This also explains why none of your 240 volt elements are working.
- AV Repair Help answered 12 years ago
Sam, this was an odd one. The only way to get the terminal block is to buy an entire harness assembly. Part number is DC93-00153J. we currently do not have a link for this repair but that kit will have the terminal block you need. Good luck!

Appreciate this reminder Cory!
Also, in case you need the part information or an installation video, it is listed below.

Cory, what about a visual inspection of the burner? If there’s what we call a “rot spot” or bad spot it may be causing uneven heat like you’re describing. Sometimes they ohm out but are still causing issues. The burner part for this model is pb050002. We don’t currently have a video for it but I think you can handle replacing it.

If a fan motor is shorted, it will blank the unit out, except for the interior lights. Pull the connector to the fan circuits off the board, then plug the unit in and see what happens. If the display and compressor start, you have a fan motor shorted. If he does indeed have 120VACfrom EMI filter (I have had them go bad) to the mother board I would start unplugging the J-Plugs one at a time to see if something comes alive. Expose the ERC and place your leads across the Bake relay. If you see 240 volts, the TCO is good and so is the element. This leaves a bad ERC as the culprit. The Broil element is supposed to come on for the preheat phase, but is cycled off after the unit comes up to Bake temp.

Is there any front-to-rear motion (axial play)? Perhaps bearing has unseated itself and worked forward, moving the entire spin tub assembly forward. Haven’t seen this myself but think it’s possible. Probably not an economically viable repair to replace outer tub. Alternatively, does anyone think it possible that the pulley has loosened and allowed axial travel?
check the pulley on the back see if the screw backed out. whirlpool had a problem with the spin baskets breaking out and ripping the tub up.

Sounds more like a wiring issue to the unit, possibly on the Neutral side. If there is a problem in the harness, it may be difficult to identify or trace unti the circuit finally fails. What it sounds like from here is a harness issue, especially since you changed all of the operating parts to no avail. There’s always gonna be that 15% of our calls which are unusual or require more intensive investigation than usual, and it sounds like this is one of them. Be sure the unit is not on a GFCI

This information is intended for Qualified Technicians Only.
CAUTION: DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL CURRENT BEFORE SERVICING
Please Return This Sheet to its Envelope in the Product for Future Reference
READING ERROR CODES
1. Rotate cycle selector knob to the 3 O’clock position.
2. Press and hold the Select and Pause Cancel buttons simultaneously for six seconds.
3. Immediately after, press and hold the START and Pause Cancel buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds.
4. Rotate the cycle selector knob to the 2 O’clock position. The four indicator lights of Drying, Cool Down, Wrinkle Rid
(Press Saver), and Clean Lint Filter will flash the number of times for the first digit of the code and the START indicator
light will flash the number of times for the second digit. Take separate counts of each indicator light, then repeat to
confirm in order to be accurate in identifying the proper error code. The code is obtained by counting the number of times
the lights flash. Example E24: The four indicator lights would flash twice indicating the 2 and the START indicator light
will flash four times indicating the 4. The four indicator lights and the START indicator light start flashing at the same
time. The control will pause for 2 seconds, then repeat the code.
NOTE: A letter appearing in the code stands for a number higher than nine. A = 10 B = 11 C = 12 D = 13 E = 14 F = 15
Example Code E4A: the first digit would be 4 and the second digit would be 10. The four indicator lights would blink four
times and the START indicator light would blink ten times. Troubleshoot the problem by using the chart below.
To move on to the next code, press the OPTIONS button.
To clear code, press the Select button. Code will be cleared when mode is exited.
To exit this mode, simultaneously press and hold the Select and Pause Cancel buttons for six seconds.
Error Code Label Description Solution

replace electronic control.
E25 Control NTC Open

Remove wires from control thermistor. Measure resistance of thermistor. If
reading is not 50 K (± 10%), replace thermistor. If reading is within 50 K (±

replace electronic control.
E4A Program Timeout
Fault
The drying time has exceeded
program time for that cycle.
Press Pause Cancel and SELECT buttons for 6 seconds to exit test modes.
Position cycle selector to NORMAL, temperature selector to HIGH HEAT
and touch START. Check for anything that would extend dry times such as:
no heat, restricted vent, blower fan blade broken or loose, dryer installed in
closet with solid door, or bad connection in moisture sensor bar circuit or
dirty bars. If dryer operates normally but code returns, replace electronic
control.
E5B Heater Fault (no
heating)
Temperature reading of control
thermistor has not changed in a
certain amount of time.
Position cycle selector to NORMAL, temperature selector to HIGH HEAT
and touch START. Measure voltage across terminals on relay RL2 (heater
