Paula, this is an erc failure and unfortunately, for your model, they are temporarily out of stock but they cost close to $170 brand new. You may be able to get it rebuilt, or sent in to whirlpool if they’d do it for you. Their number is 1-800-253-1301. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Fayda, newer models seem to have this common problem among users. I think mostly because of shorter dry times due to energy saving functions as well as a lack of high temperature water used. I’d suggest using your “high temp” option if possible, and letting them sit just a bit longer after the cycle finishes to see if they will dry a bit more before removing the dishes. Sorry to say there aren’t many actual fixes for this.

Daniel, we always suggest just replacing it, so you don’t have an future problems down the road trying to get a new one on. This model is actually made by LG and I’ll attach the part information below for you. Also, to make applying it a bit easier, soak in some hot water so it becomes a bit more pliable. Start at one corner and work your way around. Good luck!

Evie, this is most commonly the bake igniter in the oven. I’ll add the part information below if your interested in replacing it yourself. Good luck!

Charlie, check the cycling thermostat, should be right there by the thermal fuse that you looked at. It’s common that we do one or the other, but sometimes both together. Hope this helps!

Jim, is this an Affinity? without a model I can’t give you exact part information, but on most Frigidaire’s that e64 error is a bad heating element. It’s definitely something you could change yourself as well if you’re inclined to try. With a model # you can go to your parts page: savemoreonparts.com and punch it in to get pricing information and availability. Good luck!

Alan, my best guess would be to check the heater again, it’s possible it’s the culprit again. Also be sure to check your air flow at the venting and outside, they get clogged and can cause the dryer to not heat. As for it running all the time, I’d say your first check should be the timer itself if you can get behind that front panel. I’ll list the part information for that below. Let me know if those two things don’t check out and we’ll diagnose further.

Mtfixit, you are not doing anything wrong. We just don’t have a video and tech sheet for this model unit. Although we have over 2600 videos in this site that are searchable, we still have may more to add. We are adding 40-50 new videos per month with our ApplianveVideo.com staff. The part number for the tech. sheet is TJ9757665, you will need to order it from your parts distributor its $3.38 from Marcone. Matt Ace technician

A leak is going to be difficult to pin point just by model. Does it happen only when the ice maker calls for water or does it just happen randomly? Before replacing parts make sure to check your drain pan to make sure there are no cracks, or that the pan is not over flowing. If it has happened ONLY since you installed a new filter have you tried disconnection the water supply line a reconnecting? If that connection is not air and water tight once the ice maker calls for water and has filled, the remaining water in the line may be leaking back out through that connection. You will also wants to make sure your evaporator drain trough is not frozen over.

If no of those work, see if you can figure out where and when specifically the leak is happening and we will dig further.

Good Luck!

Laura, it sounds like it may be the user interface board but without testing we cannot be sure. The door switch is the cheapest way to start troubleshooting the issue. If you get an error code please send it to us. I have sent a video link below please watch it. If you need the switch or other parts calls us 7- days a week until 11pm Eastern at 1-800-830-5465. One of the most common problems we see with this unit is the dispenser door and motor failing. If you are able to occasionally make the connection to get to to dispense for you I would have to lean towards replacing those parts. The repair is fairly easy to perform and Whirlpool now sells all the components in one kit.
Another possibility is a failure within the auger motor itself. Occasionally we have seen where the casing on the motor has had a crack in it, or has not been sealed completely out of the factory, and this allows moisture to seep in. Over time that moisture can freeze, tying up that motor. Usually that repair also has the complaint of a humming or grinding sound that goes along with it, not the silence you are getting.
If you can occasionally get the unit to work, I would double check all of your harness connections before replacing parts, you may simply have a loose wire connection too.

Good Luck on the repair!

Ron, I would check and see if your compressor is running. If you have no frost pattern on the evaporator that is an indication of a leak in the system or the compressor not running. I have two videos linked below . Please look at these videos and email us with any questions. Thanks Matt Ace technician

Mrfixit, the best way to find a video or part by your model number is by going to the top of the home page and click on ( REPAIR VIDEOS ). You will see a drop down menu that will give you the option to select ( Video by Model number ) . This is the best way to find a video or part by model. Your model KGSA906PSS00 comes up instantly in our video by model search. In our main search bar it will only look for exact matches. I hope this helps.Matt Ace technician

Jack, I have provided a video link below . I cannot pull up your model number it seems to have letters missing . My best guess is you have a spin bearing going bad. This is a major job in most cases and needs special tools. If i can get the correct model number, I could give you more specific answers. Matt Ace technician
