I would check to see if your compressor is running. Check that your getting power to your compressor. Did you replace the maid control board? part # WR55X11033.

Faye, this is one of the more unusual requests but it is doable to get a lot of them out. I’ll add a video that at least shows you how to access the tub and disassemble the top and get inside. You’ll then need to separate the inner and outer tubs to clean out the beads. Most of them may have been pumped out already but will be good to check and see if any are left in there. Hope this helps! I’ll keep looking for a bit more detailed video of the tubs to help you get inside.

Ruth, coils are one of the most common repairs we do on dryers that aren’t heating properly. I’ll attach a video that will help diagnose this issue for you as well as instructions on changing it if needed. It is a pretty straightforward repair from there. If this isn’t the problem, we can help determine from there. Let us know if there’s anything else we can do!

Pamela, I found a video that is close to your model and may help diagnose the sound as well as show how to gain access to your dryer. It’s possible the belt has slipped off or broken and may need to be replaced. If you can get in there to see and find that it is not, come back and we’ll help diagnose further. Good luck!

Willy, Are just the knobs stripped and needing replaced or the actual start switch itself? I found a similar video for your model if it is the start switch itself, and another one to just check and replace the knobs themselves. You can use out parts link button to purchase them if you haven’t already. Glad you found the problem, it’s a pretty easy fix!

Ella, you can manually reset it with the breaker, but I’m thinking it won’t change much. Worth a shot if you need to cancel & drain, but not guaranteeing it’ll work. Without a model number I can give you a couple videos that may help you narrow down the issue. A lot of times, all the lights blinking or a few staying on normally refers to an issue with the control board itself or the front touch panel. I’ll add the videos and look forward to getting some more info back from you so we can help you a bit more specifically.

Larry, you may be more frustrated to check some simple things but you’d be surprised sometimes at the problem. Start with the outlet – are you getting 240 volts to it? And is the dryer getting that same voltage? Also, check the venting at the unit itself but also at the outdoor vent. Sometimes even if those are clear there is still a blockage somewhere down the line. Clear the entire thing if it hasn’t been done in a long time. Also, an easy way to check is to take off venting and check air flow at the back. You’ll be able to tell pretty quick if that’s an issue. If none of these suggestions help, come back and I’ll see what else we can have you check. Good luck!

In reply to: elements out

Wayne, there aren’t any videos listed specifically for you model so I added a similar one showing how to access the burners. I’m also adding the parts diagram for you, depending on which elements are out, they are easily replaceable and you can purchase online or call your order in and they’ll deliver right to your door. I think you’ll have no problem getting these switched out but let us know if we can help you further.

Amanda, there are a few things you can check. We typically go with the element and thermostat initially to make sure both are good. From there, you can also check the control board to ensure it’s working properly. Around the holidays we get a lot of questions about cook times and always remind customers to keep in mind that unless you’ve cooked the exact same thing before, it’s possible that it may just need a little longer cook time, especially when the oven is full of other dishes or if you’re opening and closing the door often. Hopefully this helps.

Dorothy, from your description I’d start with the lid switch. It communicates to the washer that the lid is down and will start cycling once full. If it is loose, or broken, it will not begin. Sometimes what you described happens as it’s failing, and then when you open and close the lid a few times it may catch it just right and work without a problem. If you’d like to do this repair yourself I can find a video that’s similar to your model, or I’d suggest calling a local company to come do the work for you. It is a common repair and one that will get you right back up and running. Hope this helps!

John, dishwashers tend to collect any leftover debris in the chopper and sump area and this could be what’s causing your unit to not clean as well. I’ll put a video below with a similar model to yours that shows how to access this area and get it cleared out for optimal operation. We do always check the spray arms as well so you were on the right track there. If this still doesn’t fix your issue, let us know. We’ll help with some other diagnostics from there.

Vanessa, this sounds like your thermostat or cold control in the top of your refrigerator side that has a bad connection, or possibly loose contactors. I’ll add a video below that is the easiest way to check, simply by tapping right below with some pressure. I’ll also add the part if you’d like to purchase and have your husband try to replace it. I can find a video for the actual repair if necessary so let us know. Hope this helps!

Jessica, we always check the water line coming in to the refrigerator to ensure you have proper supply to the unit. If you have an inadequate amount then you may need to talk to a plumber about water pressure or maybe changing which line you pull from. You could still be getting ice, but just not a lot, or sometimes the cubes will be smaller than usual. You can unhook the line at the back of the fridge to check the flow, but be sure to have someone help to disconnect and reconnect at the supply line so you don’t get caught with water everywhere. Let us know if this isn’t the issue and we’ll diagnose some more with you!

Harold, my first thought would be the thermostat tripping it. If you still have it apart check that and see if you’ve found the problem. I’ll add the part link for it below if it is the culprit and you can let me know if its not, we’ll help you diagnose further. You were on the right track!

Jorge, these can be tricky to replace if it is that seal or bellow that’s the problem. They can get small tears and rips which worsen over time. The part number for your model is 8182119 and I’ll add the parts link and a video on the repair if you’d like to try and replace it yourself. We do a lot of these and it may just be time for a new one! Let us know if there’s anything more we can do for you.

Laura, I’ll add a video below for you to take a listen to. My first guess is your rear bearing, but drum glides can also be a simple culprit if they’ve come off or worn through. Let me know if this helps, and if it’s a different noise we can help narrow down from there some other possibilities.
