Hi. The door latch on this one is on the outside of the unit at the top, not inside the door. I have attached a video for this repair. Also, I have attached a video showing how to separate the door.

Your model number is listed in the bulletin. Check your serial number to make sure it falls with in range. The series range is listed on the bulletin. This kit has taken care of the ice room frosting and icing up. I have done a couple myself and our other techs have done many more. Make sure you flush some water down the drain tube to make sure it is clear.

Hello
See the technical guide on VMW washer along with the troubleshooting and diagnostics. The water leak could come from the pump assembly, I would start there. The loud spin could be a splutch or grearcase issue.

Hello
See the complete service manual and diagnostics. All of the error codes are the letter and digit codes example (E25) . I think the ( 0 ) code you are seeing is the dispenser rinse aid setting set to zero, for no rinse aid. That should be set to setting #4. All diagnostics and settings are in the manual.

Hello
See service bulletin on ice build up. Also see technician diagnostics along with the service manual. It sounds like you have a frost or ice build up. The noise my be the evaporator fan hitting the ice forming. That would be the first place to start.

Hello, the model # you provided is not valid. I do believe the model # we are working on should be WTW9400SW01. The F 28 error indicates that the communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly. There are certain tests that you need to perform to diagnose properly. I have attached the technical service sheet for this model which will give you the testing procedure(s) to follow for your resolution. Any information needed will be found on this technical service sheet.

In reply to: Ice Clumping

Hello
If the ice is clumping , it is an indication of warm freezer temperatures . See link below with specifications and schematic wiring diagram.
There are a few possibilities that can cause the warm temperatures.
1) The ice door chute is closing reliably all the time.
2)The evaporator thermistor not sensing proper temperatures.
3) The main control board going bad.

Hello

The display will show 00 in the freezer temperature display and 00 in the fresh food temperature display. This
is the setting to access the Service Diagnostic Tests. The service mode will time out and go back to the main screen if no tests are performed within 5 minutes. To exit without resetting the boards, hold the WATER & CUBED pads together down until prompted with ENTERING SERVICE MODE? then select YES TO EXIT. Then set the SERVICE MODE to 0016 and press GO. The complete tests are on page #105 in the service manual link below.

RFID chip information. The service manual also has additional information.

On bottom freezer refrigerators that use the RPWFE water filter, the unit uses radio frequency identification (RFID) to detect leaks and monitor the filter status. The water filter cartridge is located inside the cartridge holder in the upper left corner of the fresh food compartment.

GE Appliances recommends refrigerators with water filtration system use only genuine GE Appliance water filters. This helps prevent water leaks. The RFID component is part of the overall system that communicates with the refrigerator and shuts off the water supply in the event a leak is detected. Non-GE filters and counterfeit filters without this technology will not perform the same way in the event of a water leak. The refrigerator has the option to use a bypass plug should you not want to use a genuine GE Appliances water filter. Refrigerator – Bypass Plug.

The RPWFE filter will not shut off the water supply if a new filter is needed. The control will show expired and ask the user to accept continuing use with expired filter risk.
When the Replace Water Filter indicator appears, replace the water filter (or put in the bypass plug). The RFID will then automatically reset the Replace Water Filter reminder when a new RFID filter or the bypass plug is installed. The reminder cannot be manually reset.
