In reply to: Ice Clumping

Hello
If the ice is clumping , it is an indication of warm freezer temperatures . See link below with specifications and schematic wiring diagram.
There are a few possibilities that can cause the warm temperatures.
1) The ice door chute is closing reliably all the time.
2)The evaporator thermistor not sensing proper temperatures.
3) The main control board going bad.

Hello

The display will show 00 in the freezer temperature display and 00 in the fresh food temperature display. This
is the setting to access the Service Diagnostic Tests. The service mode will time out and go back to the main screen if no tests are performed within 5 minutes. To exit without resetting the boards, hold the WATER & CUBED pads together down until prompted with ENTERING SERVICE MODE? then select YES TO EXIT. Then set the SERVICE MODE to 0016 and press GO. The complete tests are on page #105 in the service manual link below.

RFID chip information. The service manual also has additional information.

On bottom freezer refrigerators that use the RPWFE water filter, the unit uses radio frequency identification (RFID) to detect leaks and monitor the filter status. The water filter cartridge is located inside the cartridge holder in the upper left corner of the fresh food compartment.

GE Appliances recommends refrigerators with water filtration system use only genuine GE Appliance water filters. This helps prevent water leaks. The RFID component is part of the overall system that communicates with the refrigerator and shuts off the water supply in the event a leak is detected. Non-GE filters and counterfeit filters without this technology will not perform the same way in the event of a water leak. The refrigerator has the option to use a bypass plug should you not want to use a genuine GE Appliances water filter. Refrigerator – Bypass Plug.

The RPWFE filter will not shut off the water supply if a new filter is needed. The control will show expired and ask the user to accept continuing use with expired filter risk.
When the Replace Water Filter indicator appears, replace the water filter (or put in the bypass plug). The RFID will then automatically reset the Replace Water Filter reminder when a new RFID filter or the bypass plug is installed. The reminder cannot be manually reset.

Hello

Hi. I think the lights will flash on this unit when the door is opened(unit is paused). The dishwasher may think the door is opened even though it is not. You could have a door latch issue. I did not see any error codes in the tech sheet either. I would start by checking your door latch/switches. It also states this in the tech sheet under “Display Code (LED):
IF OPTION LED’s Flashing- When ALL LED’s are flashing this indicates power failure has occurred. Press START/CANCEL pad and re-select desired options and cycles.
Maybe there is a bad connection at the junction box or outlet. Possible electrical issue causing a power failure.

HI. It actually looks like there is a separate control board for the cook top. p # 316442119. This part is in the body section of the parts break down. The relay on this control could be stuck closed causing your issue. Other possibilities would be that the element or wiring are shorted in some way causing this. You can test all of this to find out where the issue is.

Hi. The service wrench would indicate there is an error or that the door is left open. I have attached the error code section of the service manual. I had to send a link for each page as I was not able to send the whole manual at once. This will show the error codes and how to determine which error code you have.

I have attached a repair video on a gasket replacement on a Samsung washer. It is not the exact one you have but should be very similar. I hope it helps.

I have never done this conversion/ repair. I found the instructions for the kit. I attached them They talk about the sensor and hot light. Not sure if yours came with instructions or not. I see you talked about some instructions you have. Marcone’s picture did not show the instructions. The original part shows a series of 10 and you have a 12 series unit which would work, but there is no information on what series the kit works for, so maybe you are right when you said the kit may not work on the 12 series. I will check with our other guys to see if anyone has ran into this. Too bad you were not able to talk with WPL tech line. They might be your best bet on finding out.

Hello
You have moisture or defective burner switches. Replace with parts #74008816. That should rectify your issue.

Hello
I would start by going to the service manual link below and go to page #18 diagnostics and component testing. I am not sure what light you are addressing. If its the dispenser light look on page #19 service test #11. You can than test every board and functional component on page #18 through #21. I would also verify all three boards you replaced are the correct boards by the MODEL & SERIAL number. Sometimes there are multiple boards by model number that will plug in correctly and still be the wrong board. You need to verify by the serial series number or they will not work correctly and you will get situations like yours that happen. Call you PDA with model and serial to verify all three boars are correct.

Hi. Attached is a video for replacing the control board. look at the link “service bulletin for light issue” This is what we would first suspect the light issue to be. As stated in this link, press the door switches in and see if you gets lights. If this is not the issue, check your door switches. With the door switch open you should read continuity if the switch is just a two wire door switch that controls the lights.
