In reply to: not heating

Im afraid theres no reset button you can press on these to get it working again. If its not heating then theres a reason its not heating.

The most commone cause is the thermostat fails as this stops it heating.

To check you need to remove the metal heater cover on the back and there you will see the heater.

On the top are the thermostats. You need a test meter to check them so test them and see if faulty.

If so then im afraid the complete heater will need to be replaced as the heater comes as a complete unit with the thermostats attached onto it.

But if you dont have a meter then you can replace the complete heater and see how it goes as for a no heat fault its either the heater or the thermostats so replacing the heater you replace both the heater and thermostats in there.

Sorry its not the answer you was looking for but theres no reset button in there im afraid.

Hi. I have attached the tech sheet for your unit. The F9 error code is for the cooling fan. The fan must not be operating properly and is causing the unit to overheat. If the control has been replaced you must have a faulty fan or wiring. If the fan runs check for blocked air flow to the control board.

Hello
The F9 error is related to.
1) Bad wiring to the test switch or defective switch.
2) Door lock switch circuit.
3) Door lock latch position.
I have attached the service diagnostic sheet any any service bulletins.

Hello

We have installed the wr49x10173 heater kit installed on these units only to see them freeze up again in 30-45 days. We have found if you taped insulation on inside of freezer door under ice chute, and put rolled towels or insulation on the two bottom shelves of the door to insulate the water line it corrects the issue. You first have to shut down the unit for 24 hours and completely defrost the door 100% with the door open. The 100% correction is the new insulated door . That is normally $700 to $900 and not cost effective. Matt Ace technician

Hello
See the video link below. If your dryer is set up for LP, you will need to order a natural gas orifice by your model if you do not have it. Then replace it from the LP orifice and change the pressure regulator back to natural gas. Matt Ace technician

In reply to: f28 error

F28 means that your main central control board (CCU) and the motor control board (MCU) are not communicating with one another properly. The motor control board is located under the tub mounted to the floor of the washer. The CCU is mounted under the top panel of the washer and is the part with about 100 wires going into it. You’ll want to remove the top panel and the lower front panel to check the wire connections and make sure they are all secure. If everything looks good, then you just have to replace the MCU because it has failed I’m sorry to say. Below is a link to the part for your model.

Ok. With my experience, the problem is either in the main control board, or the door switch. The only way to determine is to ohm out the door switch with a voltmeter. Also you may find a part of the door latch broken inside, once you get to the door switch

Hi. I have attached the tech sheet for you as well as the wiring diagram. The F70 error code is a communication error between the main control and U.I. Refer to page 9 of the tech sheet for the f70 error code. The tech sheet does not have a test procedure to find out which one is faulty. Try resting the unit and checked your connections at the board and console. Check for any visual damage to each. If you have buttons or lights that are not functioning this would be a sign that the console is faulty.

Hello
We have a board calibration manual link below and customer use manual. This sounds like a control board issue. Have you unplugged the unit for five minutes to try resetting the board ? Matt Ace technician
