The initial issue was the dryer would continously run the drum and never shut off, after much research we determined it was a relay on the main control board. We ordered a new control board and I made sure everything matched before I installed, it was ordered via the model number and all part numbers did match. So I disconnected the power to the unit and installed the new control board, there were no issues installing it. After reassembly I then plugged the dryer back in and now it acts as if I have not plugged it in at all. There is no power to the display or even the light inside the dryer. I have checked with my multimeter all of the power, the dryer is recieving it’s full 240v to the control board. Everything on the control board seems to be recieving its proper amount of power. Including the the 13 DC volts going to the display unit. I also tried reinstalling the old control board that had no affect the dryer is still acting as if it has no power. Please help I am at a loss as to what to do now.
Did the new control board fry something else?
Did I miss a step somewhere on the installation?
I have replaced the main control board, I have checked voltage from the outlet to all throughout the control board. I have checked the thermo disconnect. I have checked the breaker and all wiring clearly it is fine as the control board has all the proper voltage going to it in the right places. As I said the dryer acts as if it is not plugged in not even the light on the inside of the drum will come on. I have no idea what it could possibly be, it does not make any since to me at all.

Go to page #29 in the ( Service Manual ) Go to section 4-3 Trouble diagnosis and start there. This will walk you through the diagnostics to determine what your issue is.

Okay, on page #39 in the service manual you should be getting 115 volts to the CN1 AC connector for your main PBA board . If you have 115 volts replace he board. If you do not have 115 volts then you have another component in series preventing you from getting power to the board.

I do have 115 going to CN1 on the board. The thing is it’s a brand new board, pryer to replacement the original would keep the dryer running continously it wouldn’t heat but it would run 24/7 unless you opened the door, this suggested a bad relay on the board which suggested board replacement. I ordered the new control board made sure it was the correct one and replaced the board. The dryer never powered on after that. I even tried putting the old board back in which should have still worked as it was before but instead got the same result, the dryer would not power on. I thought that maybe the new board being install may have fried another component but I can’t find it and as I said before the board is receiving the right voltages of power to the right places. It doesn’t make since to me that I replaced the board with a new one and it doesn’t work at all now even by putting the old board back in.

Hello To eliminate all other possibilities other than the PCB main board go to page #31 in the service manual. In section 4-4 (Power does not work) Do your 4- voltage checks in this section to verify 100% its the PCB.

Is there a major difference between the DV56H9100EG and DV56H9100EG/A2 model dryers as far as the PCB goes?

I show those are both the same unit. The 2nd one you listed is the full, complete model number. The part number I found for the control board is DC92-01606D.
