Hi. If you’re getting water in the ice bin your ice maker may be over flowing. Make sure the ice maker is getting the proper water pressure and is not overflowing or leaking. There is a water level adjustment screw if you need to reduce water flow. If water flow is not the issue you may have a temperature issue. This would make sense if it only makes ice a couple of times a day. Check your freezer temps. If should be about 5 deg. It will stop producing ice around 15 deg. I have attached some repair videos on this ice maker, the tech sheet for the refrigerator, and the service sheet on this ice maker.

  • there is plenty of water pressure (tested before changing water inlet valve, unit will drop ice two or thee times okay,, freezer temp okay, everything else including popsickles are staying frozen, replaced ice maker with new electromechanical ice maker same problem, thought of changing control board but it is the ice maker that controls water
  • So you’re getting water into the ice bucket? Is that water overflowing from ice maker? What happens when the ice maker stops producing ice? Do you have an ice Jam in the ice maker preventing it from cycling?
  • I went there again, pulled ice maker out and inspected, ice half frozen in ice maker at present, there is no ice jam, it looks like it dropped ice 3 or four times then poured about 8oz of water on ice that froze in bucket. Cust. says, ice would be okay , then in the a.m. frozen, ice kept in separate container in freezer stays okay
  • I was there Saturday, ice was okay Sunday and Monday, Tuesday a.m. bucket was frozen again
  • One thing I have noticed on these before is that after power has been restored to the unit on initial startup it will energize the water inlet valve briefly. I just had one yesterday that every time I shut the freezer door it would energize the water inlet valve. The ice maker was going through a cycle when this was happening which caused it to overfill and leak water into the bucket. I had to reset the unit a couple different times to get this to stop. This would be an issue with the control board. Or the ice maker could be getting stuck in the middle of a cycle if the cubes are jamming or two large possibly causing this to happen where it would call for a little water to the ice maker every time the freezer door is closed.
