Anna, there is actually a fix kit for this. In some models there’s a tube ignition point that the spark fails to reach. It also requires a harness replacement because there is sometimes an issue with inadequate grounding.. But there is a kit (part# W10700720) that will have both of these. I’ll list a link to purchase it. It should come with instructions but if not, let us know and we can advise. There isn’t a video I could find for this repair yet so we’ll work on that.

Clara, this typically happens if the seal (bellow) inside and around the door area has cracked, seperated, or worn through. I’ll attach a video for you below to see if this is in fact the issue. And a part link as well if it needs replaced. Hope this helps.

Fault is displayed when the main control cannot determine speed of basket.
• Locked rotor—check that basket, impeller, and motor can rotate freely.
• Check harness connections from main control to motor and shifter.if you already changed shifter i would look at the harness pay close attention to where it is zip tied together.

Chuck, most of the time, these tub seals have worn out, cracked, our broken, and then cause a leak. If it has just come out of the rail, you can definitely push it back in and see if it stays. If you would want to replace it, or it needs to be, I’ve added the part below with a link to purchase, as well as a simple video installation. Good luck!

Mary, after a quick check into your model, I may have an easy fix for you. Some of these newer Whirlpool models require the door to be closed during broil instead of older models that required you to leave the door cracked while using it. If it’s preheating with the door closed, and then cooling when you leave it cracked, I’m assuming this could explain the issue for you. Let us know if not, and we’ll help you further diagnose.

Tucker, it is an easy fix and on your model you have to hold the “Power Freeze” and “Freezer” at the same time for a few seconds to deactivate it. It’s definitely a bit too easy to do on accident and hopefully this gets you back up and working again.
This design effects models RS25H5000, RS25H5002, RS25H5111, & RS25H5223 as well for those who find this thread in the future. Newer models manufactured after June of 2014 will have a 3 button feature that also includes the “Lighting” on the top right hand side of the touchpad.

There may be clothing trapped under the spin basket, preventing it from settling into the spin position. This one has a floating basket.

Den, even if the ignitor is glowing it does not mean it is functioning properly. 70% of the time the ignitor will glow and it will be defective not sending the proper millivolt rating to the coils of the valve. You can also get the coils separately if the ignitor does not take care of the issue. I would by the ignitor and coil kit and send back the one you don’t need. You do not nees the whole assembly. Call our parts department at 1-800-830-5465 they will sell the coils only. Matt Ace technician

Check the operating voltage during Bake? You can monitor this from the breaker if necessary. Sounds like improper voltage…..

no it is just sensing that’s all. i did another diagnostic test and it showed just the sensing indicator blinking which suggest that there is no error. i have one other concern, i only have one hose connected because the threading on the Y connector is worn out. could this be the problem why it is just sensing?

Mervyn, If you replaced the part you should not need to turn the drum it should function immediately . Are you getting error codes ? Is it not starting ?
