Repair Help

My question in I’ve had where I put a machine in diagonistic mode and the engineer that design the computer board didn’t flag the right part to replace with the code that came up. This makes are job harder. How to you know for sure when a wash machine has a computer board and the interface board which is your digital display, which tell you how many minutes the wash cycle is a time dry and the codes displayed. I had one time that it coded that it was the computer board I replaced it and it wasn’t the problem. Whirlpool I called they told me replace the interface board. I did that and that wasn’t the problem. These two boards cost almost $450.00 On this particular whirlpool hand another board that communicated to the computer. That one was replaced also. still didn’t fix the problem. All the board were checked for power and all output relays were checked to see if the output where working or not. All I want to know is there a better way to check the board because diagnotics isn’t always right what the engineer says what it is. If you could imagine this machine to try to fix would of cost over $600 dollars plus labor charges. I called whirlpool and they told me they didn’t know why it wasn’t working. funny thing though it work in diagnotic service mode but you put it back for the customer it wouldn’t work. Very strange.

hi so there is a small leak from the inside of the machine.
i thought maybe it was the bellow so ive changed it but it did not correct the issue.
i looked up from under the machine and i see water forming on the left hand side screw that holds the weights and it drips to the middle of the weight .
it also only drips when the machine spins

” There is a small pool of water remaining in the soap dispenser in the washer after the wash cycle is finished completely. ” The clothes are clean, coming out of the tub as they are supposed to be. After the clothes are done with the entire cycle ready for the dryer, customer says she opens the soap dispenser and all the soap is gone but there is a small pool of water still remaining in the dispenser. I did not check it yet but could this be a water inlet valve issue ?
What could be leaving water in the dispenser after cycle is complete and clothes are done ?

The top burners light no problem the pilot stay lit however in the oven the pilot will not light I have turn the thermostat on no gas is flowing through the burner

I can hear the motor switch clicking on and off, can it be just the capacitor or the motor?

This into will tumble briefly while filling but that is all the movement you get.if you pause the cycle and try to restart the control just beeps at you until you unplug and restart, also the unit will not unlock the door any other way than to unplug and wait. I also am looking for tech sheet for this unit

I have a GE SPACEMAKER stackable washer/dryer. Customer complained that the washer knob broke off and that the washer is not working. When I arrived I noticed the knob from the washer side was off the potentiometer aperture handle (timer knob) resting on the washer. I tested the dryer and the dryer appeared to be working fine. I tried to start the washer to test it by turning the timer knob (which had fell off of the control panel frame bracket) and pressing start button. Not only did the washer not show any sign of life by not starting, but I tried turning the knob on the timer without the knob attached and I could not hear any “click” coming from inside the timer indicating that it was advancing to the next stage of the washing cycle.
I removed the control panel cover and noticed the timer slid out of place in its socket when it was supposed to be securely fastened to the front panel. The knob was turning but the timer was not clicking as it advanced. I tried to unplug the connector OF THE TIMER from the wires but coud not notice any discrepencies visually. Should the wires have been checked ?? continuity ? voltage ? Could I have a bad timer ? If the dryer works fine and the power is getting to the dryer and stopping when it gets to the washer could the timer be preventing this ?

Customer calls and states her f/l LG washer is dead, no lites no nada. I would like to know what to check for. I know of course make sure there is power to the unit and then take it from there. pls give me some input on this unit, thanks a million

no stove top action, oven works great,,,,, whats a poor boy to do ???? seriously,,, where can I look up codes?

i did see that when i unplugged it and put it back on the lights went on for a sec

i tested the lid switch and its good.
i tested for power on the timer and its good.
the dryer works but the washer nothing hap[pends

I am going out to check a kenmore dishwasher customer states its not draining. I would like to see a video on checking this thing out pls thanks

Washer isn’t going into spin cycle?

This is a LG 4-door fridge and I want to verify that the evaporator fan is working in the freezer section. I don’t know how to simulate the freezer door being closed when dismanteled.

REPLACED CONTROL PANEL ONLY HAVE 10.6 VOLTS TO CUBE SOLENOID NO WIRING DIAGRAM WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR ? THIS IS A ESTATE SIDE BY SIDE MADE BY WHIRLPOOL

Customer calls and states her fridge will work good sometimes for an hour or so some times for minuets only but she will unplug it and replug it back on and it will start again. Before i go look at it i need your input expertise on this matter

Do you have a video on how you replace the bake element on this double oven. I also like to know if you have a diagnosis sheet or cheat sheet that I can put the unit into diagnostic mode? I don’t have anything on this oven except a schematic. Takes a long time to get to preset temperature 30 min.

when i got to the job both drawers were flashing f1.
i dried out the bottom by the flood switch and it worked.
the customer said not that when they do a few loads the f1 comes back on

the customer said that she will push the start button and she can hear the machine trying to start but it will not.
i have checked last week i ave gone to the house and when i tried it worked.
today however it did not start.
when i took the belt off it worked and when i put the belt back on it worked,
can it be a weak motor?

the board lights up
i can select the option i want and when i press start nothing happens i see it trying to move to the cycle but nothing happens.
i did check the door switch and thermal fuse and all is good.
can it be the board?

HOW TO BREAK DOWN TO REPLACE IDLER

The washer was given to me. Friend bought a new washer, said it was smoking. Saw the burned spot on the board. I replaced the control board of this unit. The washer works fine from start to finish, However after the spin cycle stops during the drum wind down it makes a loud Air Raid type Siren sound that starts right after the motor stops pulling the drum. Was wondering if this is normal.??? Doesn’t seem to do it during slower RPM spins

This double of with convection heating, takes 30 to 35 minutes and doesn’t get very hot.
