I drilled two small holes near the broiler igniter and flame started to catch but new problem now there’s a draft Whirring noise when it runs and backfires… is there a kit to address this??

My customer called me up and said that she heard a noise coming from the back of the fridge. Loud vibrating noise. The temp in the freezer was ok, but the fridge was high. I asked her if there was frost build up on the back of the freezer, she said no. She unplugged it. I stopped by, checked the continuity on the freezer evap fan, and hot none.
So, I bought a new one, put it in. It doesn’t seem to be working either. No air movement.

Washer fills then stops.
I manually turn timer 1 notch for the machine to proceed, it then turns and stops
Machine won’t start cycle or agitate.
I turn timer to Spin cycle, It will only drain and won’t spin.

The complaint is that the freezer works intermittently. Today they say the freezer and the refrigerator are about the same temperature

Recently did sealed system work. Because heat exchanger was leaking refrigerant. Replaced evaporator and heat exchanger. Heating loop below the fridge looks perfect. Condenser clean. Condenser fan motor running. Evaporator and all other fans seem to be running and everything is plugged in and running properly…
But the display is flashing certain temperature control bars. Which if I recall correctly is an error code. The FRZ light is flashing and light bar 3/4/5/6 keeps flashing in numerical sequence. What is this error code indicating?

ORIGINAL COMPAINT WAS A WATER LEAK FROM BEHIND THE ICE DISPENCER HOLE. NOT FROM WATER DISPENCER TUBE. TURNING OFF WATER SUPPLY CURED LEAK, SO NOT ICE MELTING. THE SLOW DRIP IS COMING DOWN THE BACK SURFACE AREA WHERE YOU PLACE YOUR GLASS.

SEPERATE ISSUE: CUSTOMER WAS USING THE ICE DISPENCER AND MAY HAVE BEEN FILLING THE HOPPER WITH BAGGED ICE (NOT SURE. MAY HAVE BEEN LEFTOVER ICE FROM ICE MAKER). WHILE DISPENCING ICE A CHUNK OF PLASTIC DROPPED INTO HER GLASS. IT APPEARS TO BE SOME SORT OF ARM/LEVER? NOW THE ICE MAKER WILL ONLY DISPENCE CRUSHED ICE. I THINK IT IS PART OF THE ICE CRUSH MOTOR ASSY BUT I COULD NOT SEE WHERE IT CAME FROM. LINKAGE ON THE TUB MOVES THE FLAP IN THE ASSY BUT IT HANGS A LITTLE.

THANKS, GEORGE.

On this dryer the thermal fuse keeps going out, after it runs for awhile? What causes this problem? The vent is clear and is a short vent run.
If this keeps going out should you also replace the thermostats where is down by the heater, or should I look at the thermistor might be bad?

Viking range. Burners not clicking.
Model number vgsc3674qss.

A friend’s range. They said various burned clicked and didn’t light and finally none would light. I got there and none would click at all. I checked one of the spark switches and it had continuity when turned on. I cleaned that burner and still nothing, but I did not remove the base. The tiny screw holes were full of crap so I couldn’t even tell what kind of head was down there. I hope I don’t have to try to get them out!

I don’t want to order an expensive spark module until I’m sure what the problem is.

How should I troubleshoot this?
Tom

The Door switch is good and if I unplug the interface then plug it back in it will clear for 15 second but still won’t respont to any commands. The power has been turned off for several minutes and makes no difference.

The tech sheet does not show any error codes. Do the 3 blinking led’s mean any thing. IF so , what?
Is there a manual for this.

I had a customer today. He had a Genaire gas range. We determined that it was the keypad assembly that was bad. There was an F1 E1 error code. We ordered a new keypad assembly. But while I was there I was looking to see how easy or difficult it was to install the new one.

The appliance is only run approximately every 2 weeks as there are only 2 of us seniors in the household. I made all the selections as normal and selected the start, closed the door immediately, and shortly afterward the light started flashing and the beeper comes on. I have canceled the program multiple times and re-selected different programs to see if made any difference, but the same results occurred once the door was shut. I have check all the filters to ensure they are clean. I do not have an electrical schematic to see if there are any other permissive interlocks that could be holding the start initiation sequence out.

I have changed the water valve and it still freezes up. I have ran the diagnostics and the ice room temperature sensor is good, showing 3 degrees. The icemaker test is good. When I de ice the fill tube it will work and make ice for less than a day then refreeze.
It has done this 3 times.

The first time I found it froze and tried to run the diagnostics it would not work until I unplugged it and restarted it then it was ok.
What is causing this problem. The FILTER is good and so is the water pressure.
Is there a service bulletin on this or some other issue?
Or what?

Hello, have a GE gas oven set to bake @ 350 starts to preheat will only reach 250 and oven shuts itself off. Try it again same thing, shuts its self off at 250 as if you hit the cancel button. Clock stays lite up. I tried self clean cycle and it seemed to work ok, door locked, fan started running. I stopped it before it got too hot so I could get the door to unlock without having to wait for the oven to cool down. Tried the broiler burner
, it seemed to be working ok. Tried bake again at 350 and it reached 350 with out shutting off. I thought great its working. Tried bake the next day same problem, oven shuts its self off at 250 wont go any higher. Is there some special setting or feature on this oven causing this???? Made sure the keep warm setting was off.

THE UNIT SHUTS OFF AT ABOUT 30 DEGREE F. THE T-STAT IS A DISCONTINUED PART. I HAVE OTHER T-STATS BUT I WAS LOOKING FOR THE WIRING DIAGRAM SO I CAN FIGURE OUT IF ONE OF THESE OTHERS WILL WORK. THE T-STAT HAS 3 WIRES AND A GROUND. I’M THINKING ONE WIRE IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEFROST CYCLE? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
THANKS
HAPPY NEW YEAR
BILL

I checked to see if the compressor is running-yes. I checked the evaporator and condenser fan motors are running-yes.
I’m not sure where to look next?
