I have a customer with an electric whirlpool cabrio dryer a few years old, . After about 10 mins into the cycle the motor will turn off. And then after about another 5 mins, it will turn back on by itself. The display stays on, and counts down like it is running normally. The clothes do not dry due to this issue. the customer has had the vent cleaned so that is not the issue. The vent is about 10 feet all smooth 4″. Also it is not in the wrinkle prevent. That’s not the issue.
I have already replaced the thermal fuse and thermistor. And the main control board p#w10317636.
When i first looked at the dryer I disconnected the thermal fuse p#3392519 And hit the start button. And I heard the motor relay close. So power still goes to the motor, it just interrupts the circuit.
All I can think of is, the fuse, the belt switch or the motor its self. And from what I can remember if you open the door the motor relay shuts down. Also the touch pad p#W10269610 is a special order item. nonreturnable, 1-2 weeks to get.
Anybody help or insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.

The start button doesn’t work and I already replaced the knob and assembly last year for this customer, what else could be the issue?

This unit shuts down and turns off when it gets to the spin cycle but then will finish the cycle if the customer waits and let’s it cool down. Says it’s starts back up where it left off and then works fine. What should I take with me for this?

Per the customer, there was a loud noise, burning smell, and now it’s not cooling. We went out and cleared ice from fan blades, and drain tube in FF section. Ran test. checked air flow, secured i/m sensor., cleared error codes. and advised customer that if issue happens again I recommend replacing back panel. Am I missing anything? I know you guys don’t carry the panel but just want to ensure I’m covering all my bases.

Temps inside were not cold enough to make ice. Ran test & all components & frost pattern good. Leveled unit. Ice maker manually cycled. Let the customer know to monitor. If fails again and temps are cold enough, will need to replace ice maker. Do you guys carry it just in case I get called back soon on this?

I get a lot of Ice/heavy frost buildup on the coils at the bottom of the freezer within just a few days after defrosting. I have read online that it can be either the defrost heater, defrost timer, defrost sensor or Vikings adaptive defrost control? Anyway I want to know where the defrost sensor, defrost timer and or adaptive control can be located and how to test them. I know how to test the heater and sensor using a ohm meter but not sure how to test the other items. It would be nice if you have a parts breakdown that you can send so these items can be easily located.

Unit isn’t starting and I’m pretty sure it’s a door switch but I can’t find the part #. Any help?

I have a Samsung dishwasher that displays a SE or 5E fault. That fault I believe is associated with it not draining but it drains just fine. Every time the error is there the water is pumped out and I can always force it to drain by canceling the cycle. Please let me know if anyone else has had this issue.
Thanks,

Whirl Washer F11 code,
I already replaced MCU, checked wire connections at CCU and motor. Worked for 3 loads after replacing MCU.
What else is there to check?

Dryer just completely lost power and cuts off and will do nothing. I changed the main board and the machine worked fine for 1 cycle. Now the dryer is dead again. what could be causing the board to just stop working like that after just 1 cycle?

Lid is locked and cannot get it to reset. Got there and found the drain pump seized and not working. Do you have this drain pump?

The left side cooktop burners are only heating to the highest temperature setting. I think the left front dual burner switch is bad but am having a tough time with the lookup on my phone. Any chance you guys have this handy?

Just had a customer call me about a gas oven with two of the burner putting off a yellow flame, you guys ever heard of this? Not sure what I should take with me to replace, if anything. Said they are still working and heating without a problem but was just concerned that the color was so off and called me to come take a look. Thanks you guys.

The customer had me listen when they called me and it does sound like a pump could be loud, but what else would cause the clanging?
- Harley Clark asked 11 years ago

Normally it’s already finished and drained. I did clear out some debris from the pump/sump and filter areas, but it’s still happening. I thought maybe the drain was siphoning somehow but checked that and it’s fine. All other main components check out. Thoughts?

Is anyone else has issues with the Whirlpool Siphon Break kits that are currently available? The current part number is 76660. The internal parts of this siphon break don’t hold up very well and will actually pull out of place effectively blocking the drain port. We have always used the Maytag version of this product 201112 or later ones were 12001586 until they were discontinued. The internal parts of the Maytag siphon break are designed differently so they are much more durable and do not come apart. I have made some attempts to contact Whirlpool to see if they can redesign the Whirlpool siphon break so it doesn’t fail.
