Custome just bought the box from lowes 1 month ago as is. The water in the door freezes up they unplug the box for 2 days and the water works for 4 or 5 days and freezes again is there a recall or is this just bad insulation from the factory.

You can see when we close the door, the door seal gets sucked in like a vapor lock . Its takes a 220 lb. strong guy to get the door open it seals that tight. The homeowner cannot open their refrigerator.

Look like the de-icing circuit isn’t working. Does this refrigerator have a thermostat on the evaporator? Is there a video on how to replace the Jazz board or you call the controller? I have had two refrigerators that have a problem with de-icing. This refrigerator is having alot of problems with the boards, not going into defrost. I also have problems with the drain. Also how do you get the freezer drawer out of the refrigerator? so I can de-ice the evaporator, any video’s on this?

Hello
We have an ice maker that was not harvesting
1) We have good water pressure and inlet valve was replaced .
2) Good freezer temperatures at + 1 degree with two different temperature test devices, ice cream solid.
3) 115 volts to the ice maker.
4) Replaced water filter
5) There is one switch in series that is closed and we have power to the ice maker.
6) Replaced two different new ice makers. Whirlpool tech. line wants us to put in a third new ice maker ? I don’t think this is our solution.
We can harvest manually one time and drops nice normal thickness cubes. Then will not harvest again. There are no service bulletins on this # WPW10469286 ice maker. Has anyone else had issues with these ice makers or have any suggestions before we put in a third ice maker ?
Thanks in advance

This particular front load washing machine had the pump in the rear, NO FILTER that I can find.. a rubber bladder hose that runs from the tub to the water pump. I have replaced the water pump, and checked the bladder hose to the pump for blockages. Its totally clean and clear. The drain hose from the water pump is totally clear. The water pump is free of obstruction and the proppellers are in good shape and seem to be working as they should. I’m stumped. Whats next?

I’m doing the heat pump (circulation pump) on this unit, and want to know if I can do it without pulling the bottom pan (base) off?…..I was able to change the drain pump on one of these units without pulling the base…wondering if it’s possible to do the heat pump this way as well?
Thanks for your help. Rocket.

Customer said that ” Feezer works fine. Its cold in there but the refrigerator is warm. ” I have handled this symptom before on other manufacturers but dont want to assume same cause. Usually frost build up in evaporator coils in freezer section which constricts airflow to fridge section. Should I test defrost heater before testing defrost thermostat or defrost control ?

Hello
You need to check first if their is a heavy even frost build up on the coil. Then next do a continuity test on the heater. If the heater has continuity, then check the defrost thermostat. If the heater and therm. are good then replace the adaptive defrost control.

Wanted to know on the thermostat mounted on the heater next to the thermo fuse. It has 1.4 k ohms of resistance. That’s with one lead of the terminal so you don’t measure anything else in the circuit. Can you tell me how this part works? Just would like to know for my own knowledge. Some have 4 wires on them? So how do they work?

FRENCH DOOR UNIT WITH DUAL EVAPORATORS, THE FRESH FOOD SECTION IS FINE. THE ICE HAS MELTED IN THE DOOR, AND THE FREEZER SECTION HAS A LOT OF SOFT BUILT FROST ON IT. THE FAN SEEMED TO BE ACTING STRANGE CUTTING OFF AND ON. I CHECKED THE DEFROST T-STAT AND HEATER AND IT WAS GOOD. COULD THE FAN OR MAIN BOARD BE CAUSING THIS OVER FROSTING? AS I OPENED UP THE UNIT TO CHECK THE PARTS, THE COILS STARTED TO DEFROST. THE FREEZER WAS COOL BUT NOT COLD ENOUGH TO FREEZE EVERYTHING IN IT. I DON’T THINK IT’S A SEALED SYSTEM ISSUE, BECAUSE FRESH FOOD SECTION IS WORKING FINE, BUT I COULD BE WRONG.

I went on this call today the customer said it was smoking, I looked and the seal was a bit tore up and the drum had been hitting the nylon tub,It was not loose per say but it did have a tiny bit of wobble.
And the drain motor just hummed and would not pump water… I suspect all the debris from the rubber clogged it!
Any one if this is common???
Thanks in advance.

I received a call today. Homeowner has a sub zero, freezer had salmon in it, unit was turned off for construction and fish thawed. Now the unit (per the home owner) smells like rotten / spoiled salmon. Calling me asking how to clean it or get rid of the smell.
Any thoughts. Besides cleaning with Bleach, vinegar and water, baking soda, ? I am sure I am his last call. What would keep the smell?

When observing this unit during the wash cycle it starts spinning while thier is water in it. When it gets to high speed
the basket just bounces around from corner to corner and accually moving the body around.
My shop was going to have me replace the main board(control), the shocks and this balancing ring on top of the inner basket. I couldn’t get the wash plate off so being discuraged I just replaced the main control board but that didn’t correct the problem. The existing ring still has a fluid in it, you can hear it swishing around and I believe it’s to violent of a movment for the shocks to help. I feel like I’m just missing something-HELP

I opened the freezer door and water ran out. There was a 1/4 inch of ice in the bottom and thicker is you looked back. Ice was down the back under the evaporator. No signs of an iced up evap coil. After I cleaned all the ice out I was wondering where the drain hole was?? I pulled the bottom tray from the cooler side, no drain?? The coils underneath was dirty. All fans were running ***Note the ice maker water is turned off under the house…..
