This is the same question as you answered on the third of this month. You said to replace bleach dispenser per whirlpool. The bleach dispenser is not the leak. As I said then it’s the detergent dispenser that is leaking. I changed the detergent dispenser it still leaks. Water is splashing over the front edge of the tub cover. It leaks about a eigth of a cup. Never had one leak there. Help.thank you

Hello
We have an electrolux ewdw6505gs0 that we have had for about 6 years. Recently it stopped washing the upper rack as good as it used to. It’s not every time but appears to be more bad than good. I have removed all of the parts that the water passes through and have found no obstructions including the pump and hoses underneath. I am very handy and have an extensive set of tools so any repair or diagnostics necessary I should be ok to do. Dishwasher has never had problems until now. My hope is to fix it rather than have to shell out $800 for a new one. I suspect it could be a weak pump or a control board but I dont want to throw unnecessary parts at the problem you have a way I can diagnose what the issue is.
Thank you

Right front burner switch stopped rotating. Got a new switch. Installed it per your Feb 2015 Utube video. The new switch did not turn either. So, here is where it gets odd. I removed the switch, stuck the knob on it and it turned just fine while in my hand. Did the same test with the original “defective” switch and it turned just fine as well. Re-installed each one and neither turns when installed. Help please

I started dealing with a warm fresh food room, and thought I had a bad evap fan. I replaced the fan, but it didn’t turn on. However, the temp showed 34 deg on the door panel. I reset the entire fridge (power off) and the temp showed correct (69 deg). Now the unit is starting to cool down.
What is the problem here? Bad sensor or other?

Refrigerator started acting up a couple of years ago with the evaporator freezing up. I think a door was not closed completely. Anyway, recently, I have not been able to keep the freezer below 20 degrees. (I set to -6). Now, I can’t even keep the freezer below freezing. Freezer says 33, but really 38 with regular thermometer. Refrigerator says 43 and is 45. Freezer set to -6, refrigerator set to 37. Compressor fan works. Evaporator fan works. All thermistors read reasonable resistances. Defroster comes on occasionally and melts the ice that builds up on the evaporator coil. I have a service manual, so I know what pins to check for thermistor values, etc. I removed the main board to see if there was anything obviously wrong. It looks fine. The compressor runs constantly and is warm, but not hot. The condenser coils are not cold, but they are certainly not hot. There is frost buildup on the evaporator on the upper 1/3 right side. (I have a picture, but don’t know how to send it.) I unplugged the defrost heater and thermistor yesterday and the amount of frost is a bit more, since it did not defrost, but it is still not cold.) The compressor draws about 0.8 amps. (At start, a surge to about 6 amps but then it settles to less than 1 amp very quickly.
I am an electrical engineer, so I understand circuits and have plenty of test equipment. Since the compressor is running constantly, but the system is not cooling to less than 35 degrees, or so, in the freezer, and a bit warmer in the refrigerator, I can’t think of what else but the compressor, or freon (R413 or whatever) level being low could be causing the problem. I will never buy another GE appliance since I, and other family members, have had nothing but trouble with them. But, my understanding is that replacing the coolant or compressor is too expensive to be worth it. It is a shame that I just wasted over $350 on new door seals that arrived on Friday. I thought that was the problem, but clearly it was more serious.

I’m having constant issues with my ice maker freezing up in my Samsung french door fridge. Is there a fix for this? The unit is only 3 years old and this has been an ongoing problem. I’m tired of defrosting it every few weeks.

Our customer has a kitchenaid gas range which shuts down completely after 45 minutes usage of both oven and surface at the same time. Customer states that in will reset itself anywhere between a couple of hours to a couple of days.

ON THIS UNIT WHEN YOU HIT POWER THE DRAIN PUMP COMES ON AND STAYS ON, AND MAJORITY OF THE LIGHTS COME ON AS WELL. YOU CAN SELECT A CYCLE, BUT IT WILL NOT DO ANYTHING BUT DRAIN, THEN WILL SHUT OFF. PUT INTO DIAGNOSTIC MODE AND NO CODE CAME UP, BUT THE DRAIN PUMP STAYED ON THE ENTIRE TIME. ALL FUNCTIONS WORKED PROPERLY EXCEPT THAT DRAIN PUMP STAYED ON DURING DIAGNOSTICS. IS THIS AN ISSUE YOU HAVE SEEN BEFORE? I WAS THINKING BOARD, BUT NOT 100%

When filling washer leaks at detergent dispenser and puddles at left front corner. Took tub ring off everything looks in good shape . Customer has a water softener so the rock hard water we have here is not the trouble. Any suggestions sure would help. Everything looks in good shape. Thank you.

It is not frosting up as with a defrost situation. At times it is hard to open the freezer drawer because of the build up. The frost seems confined to the top of the inner liner at the front around the light switch several inches on each side and on the drawer at the top. The gaskets are in good condition. (fresh food and freezer). The grommet for the defrost drain is not there but this problem started before it was removed. I have seen this on other similar models. Is there a defect in the design or something?

Freezer section does not get down to 0F as it should. Mainly stays around 20F. Fresh food compartment sometime freezes item in the back on top shelf, otherwise section is cold enough. Does seem to run a lot but does shut off for long periods. Compressor is pretty warm but not “hot” to the touch. Lower fan at base is working, upper fan is working, pumping cool air into both sections. I have cleaned the cooling veins twice and would say there are a clean at I can get them.
