Looks like the gas valve is corroded and so old I on’t even know how it’s worked this long. Can you get me the part information on a new assembly? Thanks.

The broil element is broken on this stove. Well, it’s not working, and when it did work it wouldn’t turn off. Now we can’t get it to come on at all. Element itself is still intact and in one piece so I’m pretty sure it’s not that. Found the main control failing and can’t find the replacement available through my vendor. Do you guys have it? I’ll just buy from you if so. Thanks for the help on a weekend!

We’re on a subzero that I need part information on. Specifically the heat exchanger and fresh food evaporator. Do you guys stock these parts? Can I get them from you?

I’ve replaced the hi limit a few times on this, it keeps blowing. Finally pulled off the venting in back and realized there was constricted air flow somewhere in the wall. Went outside and found a birds nest built inside the exit flap. This time of year is such a common time for this, just wanted to post a quick reminder to always check air flow and advise those vents be cleaned periodically and routinely!

The door seal had a tiny gap near the bottom, that wouldn’t be enough to cause this issue would it?

Thought the ignitor was bad but just found the grounding screw loose and in turn the ignitor not tightened down. It lit when I left but want to get the ignitor part number in case I do need to go back on this. Thanks.

The ice maker isn’t making any ice and I’m not getting any water either. I cleared the fill tube line, cleaned out the saddle valve, and unkinked the h20 line where it had creased and caused the failure to begin with. Any recommendations on keeping this from happening again?

The timer is bad but the knob and dial are also broken and not working. Can I get part information on all 3?

The dishes do not seem to be getting dried at the end like they used to, and also not getting as clean. Thought maybe it was the control panel but it seems fine. Water pressure is good, and I cleared the spray arms of any debris and cleaned them well before putting them back in. Seems to be cycling correctly. Wasn’t sure what to check next.

I found the control bad but then when I reassembled the unit it began working. She wanted to keep using as is instead of replacing right away but I still need that part number if you have it handy. Thanks.

This gas unit wasn’t heating while we were there for her fridge so we took a look. I reset the thermal cut off and it seems to be working just fine now. She asked what it would need if it kept happening, and I suggested a TCO kit. Anything else it could be? Just want to leave her with some general info in case she calls an appliance repair place for help in the future.

Customer just called to say his refrigerator was getting too cold and freezing the water line in his freezer door every few days.
He has freezer set at the 1 setting and when I asked he said it’s at 9 degrees. We are in temperature fluctuation season and I see alot of funny happenings with frig’s this time of year.

Customer came home from grocery store to find fresh food section 52 degrees and freezer 15 degrees. Settings are for freezer 0 and fresh food 36. Upon arrival freezer was 3 and fresh food 36. Customer stated took several hours for unit to get back to better temps.
Ran diagnostic on display. Passed. Pulled unit out and checked low voltage power supply – 13.25. Back probed the voltage with a shunt load ( per fix your board ), voltage read 13.15 volts.
Inspecting motherboard did not see any resistors discolored or burnt.
Had a similar problem on another refrigerator that I changed out the evaporator thermistor and solved problem. Thinking I have same issue here.

This unit was in a high final spin when it started sounding very off balanced. There was a definite burning smell before it finished. I got it apart and found the transmission failing and the unit in need of a new belt, but the customer doesn’t want to pay the high repair cost. Do you guys replace many of these? Or is there a vendor out there better on price?

The filter was just replaced on this and it seems to have made the issue worse. Has a constant drip to it, enough that you need to keep something in the tray all the time to catch it. Any thoughts on what it is?

This washer is squealing like crazy when it stops, am looking into the part information for a belt and brake. Will further diagnose when I get there but want an idea before I get there of what I’m looking at quoting for the repair work. Thanks.

Ran into an issue today where the turn valve at the water heater was severely corroded and there’s a copper connection coming up behind the refrigerator. I removed ice from the fill tube and there is water to the icemaker, but I think it’s insufficient. We don’t do plumbing work, so what should I recommend she say when she calls someone else out to take care of this and get it properly hooked up for her?

We’ve been doing a lot of drain kits on whirlpool refrigerators and I got to this call today and cleared the line of ice, it was pretty full. But seems to be working fine now. Will this work indefinitely or will we get called back on it? Wasn’t sure if I should just price out the drain kit and give it to the customer in case it happens again.

Checked the element, probe, thermostat, and then found that the control is bad. Seems like a high cost for the control and if I add in my fees, it far exceeds a reasonable repair price. Should I just advise to buy new?

Assuming I just need to know what the element number is. Going to try and get this done today if I can get it locally.
