I at first thought that the ice dispenser motor was the problem, so I have replaced it with a new drive motor. However neither the new motor or the old motor turn on when I push on the ice dispenser paddle. So I am now thinking that the problem is in the control panel switches or ????
Just looking for some other ideas and help.
Thanks

A U1 deals with the fill fault. It talks about the water valve needing replacement. It doesn’t always stop in the fill cycle. Could it possibly be a electrical switch and how do I check the possible problems. Also could I replace parts myself?

refrigerator isnt cooling in fresh food or bottom freezer also no fans ecept for compressor fan. Diagnosis showed freezer defrost sensor. after replacing sensor let run for 24 hours still no cool or fans. checked power board had 5 and 12 volts. replaced main control board. could hear Bottom freezer fan run after holding in light switch for 30 seconds. still no ff fan. Run diagnosis indicated main board was running fan. removed back cover and checked for voltage at fan connection. voltage was 0. also noticed coils were not frosting. assuming bad compressor or possible leak but would this cause the fan to shut down. will go out tomorrow and stick some gauges on it. Any help would be appreciated. Customer fridge has been down for four days

I have cleaned it out and looked for obstructions. The allen wrench turns but the disposal still just hums and the turns a small amount until the reset button pops out. This is a Badger disposal.

Hi, My refrigerator leaks when ice builds up on the bottom of the freezer. I have seen a couple of your videos about what the problem is but I cannot find one regarding my Maytag. Is there a solution to the Maytag problem? I have no water line or ice maker on the unit. I saw one video for a Whirlpool freezer that looks close to the Maytag. Are these the same? I know everyone owns everyone else these days. https://www.appliancevideo.com/update-drain-fix-kit-whirlpool-refrigerator-water-leaking/
Thank you.

I have been having problems with my washing machine. The lid lock light begins to blink throughout different parts of the cycle. When this happens I have to pause the whole cycle, wait for light to stop blinking and unlock, and press start for it to lock again to continue throughout the rest of the cycle. I have to do this several times in order to complete a load of laundry. I did a diagnostics test like you said too in one of your videos, but I do not have the sheet to tell me what my error code means. The first set in the error code was sense, rinse, spin, and done.. Followed by the second set which was only the done light. Can you please help me figure out what this code means as well as why my lid lock begins to blinking numerous times throughout every cycle?

I watched replacing video and it was Excellent. I however don’t have a meter to check it after installing. So I tried powering up dryer after I was done and it kicked breaker right away. Trying to figure out where I went wrong. Dryer was working fine except for broken hearing element. I did take fuse and thermostat to work where guy checked them and they were working. Did I ground dryer while reassembling?

Unit is about 3 years old and has had lots of use. Tonight, it was making an intermittent beeping noise and I asked my wife what it was. She said it was the washer and went over to it and pushed a button. Don’t know which one but it had filled and ran and I think may have been drying at the time. At any rate, she then tried to restart it and no lights were coming on at all. I went to the main fuse panel and shut down the electricity for about 30 seconds and then turned it back on. She shut the door on the machine and tried again, the light came on as if it was going to run but then about a minute or so later shut off and no light or lights again. Thank you for any help you can be.
Sincerely.
John

I have a Whirlpool Duet gas dryer, GGW9200LQ0 that is roughly 12 years old. It runs and generates heat but in the last 10-11 months it has been taking too long dry a load of laundry (unlike its first 11 years of service)
I have previously disassembled it and vacuumed out excessive lint from the internals. This seems to help for some time but I need to do it again after 6 months.
The dryer does not turn off during a cycle but it doesn’t dry clothes completely. E.g. a 90 minute high heat cycle leaves 6-8 pairs of jeans warm and damp.
The dryer was moved to my basement about 10 months ago and a new rigid venting line installed (no screws). It’s about a 12′ run of venting upwards to a ground level exhaust vent and has about 3 elbows in the venting run. I just disassembled the venting and had to clean out lots of lint in the venting again.
I know how to test the thermostats, is there a way to test the other combustion components for problems? Shouldn’t the lint screen be catching more of the lint than this?
Also – how often should the thermostats, moisture sensor bars, coils and ignitors be changed? Would the drive belt, rollers and idler pulley be due for replacement at 12 years of average use?

Blower motor stopped working, even setting control at thermostat(digital) to run wouldn’t start. I manually rotated fan motor by turning fins in squirrel cage to check if motor had seized, rotated freely . turned furnace back on and fan motor operated flawlessly for about 20 hours then failed again. turned blower by hand again and restarted and ran flawlessly again. Is my problem a capacitor or a dead spot in my blower motor?

Fridge freezes behind the back panel until the fan at first makes noise (hitting the ice) then stops and the fridge starts to get warm. When I remove the back panel I can see the ice is everywhere and there is a big lump of Ice around a wire or tube on the right, then at the bottom of the evaporator (I think that’s what you call it) so the drain at the bottom is all iced over. I have gone thru this process of taking it apart and defrosting it, each time within a few weeks we are back to square one. I saw a video of one of your guys fixing an issue in a very similar model in a video on your site called “Refrigerator Repair – Not cooling properly, freezing up on the back panel -Samsung – RF266AEPN” I Looks exactly like my issue, I just need to know the exact parts I need to do the job. Can you help.

I HAVE A CUSTOMER WITH THIS KITCHENAID DISHWASHER WHERE THERE ARE THREE LIGHTS LIT UP ON THE PANEL WHEN POWER IS SUPPLIED WITH NO RESPONSE TO OPERATOR INPUT OTHER THAN THE OPTIONS BUTTONS. REPLACING THE TOUCH MEMBRANE- PART # W10077793 RESULTED IN THE SAME THREE LIGHTS BEING LIT WITH ONE ADDITIONAL-HEAVY WASH, AND NO RESPONSE TO OPERATOR INPUT. WAS WONDERING IF THE CONTROL BOARD, RIBBON OR INTERCONNECT COULD BE AT FAULT. HAVE NEVER SEEN A CONTROL BOARD AT FAULT FOR THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. HAVE ALWAYS SOLVED THIS PROBLEM AT LEAST TWENTY TIMES BEFORE BY REPLACING THE TOUCH PANEL. THE RIBBON AND INTERCONNECT LOOK LIKE STRAIGHT DATA TRANSFER TO ME.

My washer won’t spin my clothes out enough, they are sopping wet still. I replaced the lid latch thinking it was that from a video I saw, and then was told it may be my control board from someone else, so I’ve done that as well. Really frustrated now, what else do I need to do?

I was trying to figure out why my dryer won’t turn. I took the panel off and the belt is still on, it hasn’t broken or slipped off, but the drum doesn’t rotate when on. Any thoughts?
