i hope I’m not going to be charged twice for the same question. The control board, defrost themostat and heater have been replaced. That leaves the thermistor not thermostat!
how do you check the thermistor (located left bottom of the evaporator cover) and is there an easy way to replace it.
the tech sheet does not go into this….in fact i found the color wiring different on the model I’m working on from the tech sheet (you gave me).

Fresh food side is not cooling well, it’s around 54 degrees. Freezer is ok. Put it to forced cooling and can see fan moving. Could it be board or sensor? How do I make sure? I need all the tips on how to find out or troubleshoot it. Thanks.

Why won’t the service mode work? Is there a “trick” to it? Could a thermister cause this? If so which one and where is it located.

Any ideas? I watched the videos on the service mode and seems I am doing it correct.

Freezer door won’t stay closed, gasket looks to be in good shape. When I got there I found the draw in the bottom of freezer compartment was sticking out in the way of the door. Fixed the draw where it was out of the way from the door from closing, but the door still wants to not seal tightly.

How do I test for not defrosting issue? Diagnostic is hard to follow. Also, is there a job aid for this model? I’m having a hard time removing the freezer bin and the slide rails.

Ice maker not making ice, I replaced ice maker, ice maker fan and ice maker defrost limit, I can’t get the fan to run. the ice maker will fill with water but will not freeze. it will cycle but will not freeze so it dumps water. the ice evaporator is working not frosted up. I think it will work if the fan would run.

Previously asked about this fridge before and you guys helped me locate a kit which helps with heating the drain pan and drain tubings —
https://www.appliancevideo.com/repair-help/question/dacor-built-in-fridge-leaking
I have been back 3-4 times now to unfreeze that drain tube. When costumer thaws whole fridge for a day every couple weeks the fridge starts to drain fine again for couple weeks and then issue returns. I installed kit exactly as instructions asked including disabling one of the temp defrost thermistors inside to make the defrost a standard 8 hours vs auto sensing defrost 8/12/16 defrost cycles. Issue still coming back, new heated drain pan over freezing and leaking out all over evap fan which gets disabled with ice.. its a pain in the rear job anything else i can try besides redoing the heated drain pan job?

Evaporator fans not running. Freezer fan will run intermittently. Both will run if test button is pressed once on the board. Is it a board problem or something else?

Regards!
The problem with the refrigerator is that the evaporator fan motor is not working because it does not reach 120 volts. When you check with the voltmeter the voltage that reaches you is around 22 volts. I Check the electrical diagram that is located on the bottom of the refrigerator and the 120 volts leaves the Beta Control terminal J1-6 and also indicates on a “Beta Codes” that has the refrigerator by
example, the first one indicates “2” Flashing- Open Thermistor. Ok, what I want to know is how to provoke the exercise so that the refrigerator makes the self-diagnostic. I already checked the 2 sensors and they gave me around 8 and 9 ohms and I gave them heat with a blower and both sensors changed from ohms to 3 y 4 ohms.

The refrigerator side is not keeping cool enough. The door just falls open and appears to have no suction. Normally on this unit the interior wall is warm but it is not warm on this one.

I have a Samsung refrigerator model RF266ABPN, it is not cooling (coolest it gets is around 50f), the freezer is working well.

I saw your video on how to fix it:
https://www.appliancevideo.com/samsung-rf266aepn-refrigerator-repair-not-cooling-properly-freezing-up-on-the-back-panel-evaporator-and-defrost-system/

In the video you have suggested part DA96-00516B Evaporator defrost system, when I clicked on the link to buy parts from the video it says part is discontinued and is out of stock.

What is the compatible part that I can buy to fix the problem – please let me know the part number and where to buy it.

Thanks.
Sudhin

I put this unit into forces defrost and the compressor shuts off but the heating element never turns on. Checked continuity on the heating element and the bi metal. Both are within spec. I replaced the jazz board and it still does the exact same thing. I’m not sure if I could have gotten another bad board that does the exact same thing or am I missing something. The unit does go into forced defrost and everything shuts down as it should.

There is a lot of ice building up in the Ice room section. This problem is occurring every few weeks or so that Ice will build up again and cause the Icemaker to stop working.

I bought one of your repair videos, but it did not include what the description said. I hope you can help me; my freezer is not producing ice.
I am trying to find the tech sheet for WRS965CIAM00. I replaced the emitter/receiver boards and lights did not come on (though it passes Test 15 in diagnostics). I’d like to run a diagnostic, harvest etc. (This is a link to a tech sheet on your page – but it’s to an oven tech sheet.) Thanks!

(Maytag french door, freezer on bottom.)
Bottom 65% of evaporator completely blocked, ice on both ends to wall of freezer, but almost zero ice in tray below evaporator. Damper door open at top, a “roaring” sound which suggests an air flow blockage (evaporator fan working). I followed your excellent video on checking for blocked drain (drain free, no “grommet” at bottom of tube, but no moisture in drain pan.)
Evaporator appears to NOT be defrosting automatically. I suspect a sensor problem or a control board problem.
