Ice forming around ice maker looking at this model GI7FVCXWY62 not sure why there is Ice forming. This Refrigerator is real problem. You say there is a facial heater for the unit. They say there is only a mold heater, when I talked to Whirlpool. They also said they are not having any issues with the unit. There are problems and I don’t know what is real causing the iceing problem. Does the unit have factory problem thats causing this iceing problem. Please let me know I so confused about the whole thing. I just don’t understand why they ever put the ice maker in the upper left side of the refrigerator. I really think it is a bad design. The plastic that you have to pull down is so brittle and you can break a part so easy. All the cold tempatures for years and years of operation. Please let me know if this model of refrigerator does have a fix for ice problem.

Thank You
Dale

GOOD MORNING. I CHECED OUT THE STOVE, AND FOUND THAT THE FRONT RIGHT BURNER WAS GETTING SOME MILD HEAT WITH ALL DIALS IN THE OFF POSITION. THE BURNER IN USE LIGHT WAS ALSO ILLUMINATED. I FOUND THE CONNECTION TO THE FRONT RIGHT BURNER TO BE MELTED AND GROUNDING OUT. I TESTED THE ELEMENT AND IT DOES HAVE CONTINUITY. I DO HAVE 220 VOLTS TO THE DIAL SWITCH FOR THE FRONT RIGHT ELEMENT, BUT O VOLTS COMING OUT TO THE ELEMENT. I ASSUMED IT WAS A BAD DIAL SWITCH. AT THIS POINT I DISCONNECTED THE TWO POWER LINES TO THE BAD DIAL SWITCH. I THEN FOUND THE REAR LEFT ELEMENT TO HAVE A MILD AMOUNT OF HEAT, THIS DID NOT HAPPEN UNTIL I DISCONNECTED THE FRONT RIGHT ELEMENT, AND THE BURNER IN USE LIGHT WAS NOT ILLUMINATED. I LOOKED AT THE BACK OF THE REAR LEFT DIAL SWITCH AND NOTICED THAT WHEN I ROTATED THE DIAL ON AND OFF I COULD SEE AN ARC WITHIN THE DIAL SWITCH. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT, THANKS, TODD FROM NY.

The customer hasn’t used their ice maker in the ice room (fresh food section) in a couple years because it stopped making ice. Today I was there, all around the ice maker mold and motor it was covered in heavy frost. I got that out of the way. There were cubes on the “fingers” of the evaporator. I have never worked on this type of ice maker before and need some guidance on how to trouble shoot it
The mold was below the fingers (not sure what they’re called).
Can this ice maker be forced cycled?
Do you have a video on how to take it out and inspect it?
I understand there’s a fan motor in behind it, I did not hear it running.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

How do you know what valve is causing a water problem? Water is all inside where the ice maker is at. There is a primary valve which they call a smart valve. Then there’s a secoundary valve.

The unit will run but only on am AUTO setting. I can push the other settings and they’ll light up but as soon as I let them go they will go out and only the AUTO setting is left on. The unit was completely DEAD until I reset the board and now it will only work on the AUTO setting.

Hi Folks,
This unit contains a W10135090 Board which is replaced by a part number 2252189 but this replacement board is hard to come by. They just don’t have them in stock! Why I don’t know! The Repair Shack made a repair on the W10135090 and said it was good to go…Installed and still not cooling. But in the fresh food compartment controls if you install a bulb in to the top of socket near the Led the Led goes off. If you loosen the bulb the LED showing the temperature setting goes back on! Anyone have any ideas on this situation. All input greatly appreciated.

We have had for of these washers that have gone bad where the bearing in spin sounds like a jet airplane taking off. each time, we have found the tub support stuck to the transmission shaft, and no matter what, we can not get it off. has anyone had any success removing the spin basket?
If you have let us know how please.

Good afternoon I have a GE washer that does a self diagnostic when first plugged in. The error happens when it gets to the check drive system part. The customer said it made a loud clunk and then wouldn’t drain the water. I ran 120 to the pump and it discharged the water but every time it tries to spin it sounds weird and flags a very general error the “a problem has been detected with this unit”. Any help would be great.
Thanks

My customer had an electrician look at her dryer. I’m guessing that he did a continuity test. And removed the “part” that sits on the side of the exhaust line. And he never came back to fix it. Well, that’s the story that I was told.
There are two wires and a little hole in the can that is about half way in back of the exhaust line. I checked out several websites, and I didn’t find a hole or a part that goes in the middle of the exhaust line. One person said that it is the drum outlet bias thermostat. But it looks like it’s located at the front of the dryer.
If you can shed any light on the subject I would greatly appreciate it. If I order that $64.00 part and it’s not the right part. Besides being stupid, I’d look stupid.
Thanks?

Microwave blow 1 of 20 amp fuses. Replace it and test circuits before plugging in. Disconnected the mag tube and tested diode gate. Turn power on display came on set the clock. Blower fans works on all speeds. When you set the cook time it the start swich blows the same 20 amp fuse. Looks like a bad short circuit. What do you think the problem can be. I tried everything?
