Ice maker in ceiling, auger motor and also water not working at fountain center.
This house has two of these same models. Open a door and a little picture with an x over a door lets you know a switch has opened. However, on the effected model this does not occur. in diagnostics you can check the door switches/ they check as open. Interior lights operate fine when opening and closing the doors. I have gone as far as replacing the switches(thinking under load -problem). I have swapped all three boards from the back of unit as well as the display module. I have checked continuity and voltage through all door switches(3).Still no ice, water or auger.

Electrolux Refrigerator. Nothing against Electrolux don’t know a lot about them we do mainly high-end /built in work.
Says in the morning he gets a slushy from his through the door ice dispenser.
Besides the obvious flap/dispenser door not closing, warm air intrusion etc. any brand specific idiosyncrasies / service bulletins /kits to be aware of with this particular unit and reported problem.

Unit works great when empty. Once clothes are in I get a dc fault and tub bounces against the inside walls.
I will order the suspension rods, but I have never had any luck with the “rods” on similar units like the cabrio/bravos. This unit does not seem to have a bearing and shaft like the Cabrio’s. All ideas are appreciated.

hi. this is a ge profile hydro save washer, not the front service kind. you service it from underneath. it is leaking water badly around transmission pulley.slinging water everywhere. the pump is receiving 120 volts but only humming. so I know its bad, the machine will fill ,try to agitate 3 separate times then stop. the blinking lights indicate wax motor [transmission] problem according to tech sheet. would the pump not working cause this and do you have a video on how to change the tub seal ?I could test the wax motor and if it opens then the tranny might be bad. so would hate to replace pump and tub seal only to find out the tranny is bad. have you experienced these symptoms before. thanks

Checking out this GE front load washer it seems to run through the cycles but gets unbalanced easily and rumbles and squeals. Any ideas what to look for will go back next week. Spins fine empty and pretty quiet.
She says it was moved recently from down the street w/o shipping bolts installed she suspects damage internally

I went to look at a Fisher washer the other day and found a bad control board, and the drain pump was slightly frozen but I did not test it with ohm meter. I was afraid to order a new control board, because I am under the impression that the board was knocked out by the pump being shorted by water dripping on it or maybe even the motor or who knows what elect could have caused it. The control board is $147.00 and it would be sad to put it in and have it knocked out again.

Any Ideas on what all I need to check to make sure new board is not knocked out or should this machine be condemned?

Recently I fixed 2 oven ignitors in 2 different model of ovens. What I noticed was this: they both looked similar, but the one purchased at Home Depot looked like it was made cheaper. The ignitor rod was thinner… With the better built ignitor all I did was take a fine emery cloth sand paper, clean it off, and it worked just fine. I tried that with the other one and I had to replace it. Here’s my question. Could I have replaced the cheaper made ignitor with the better built one? My thought was that the better built one just needed cleaning, whereas the cheaper one had to be replaced. Perhaps I could save my customer some money, installing the better built one..
Thanks

Samsung dryer has excessive vibration causing the frame on the unit to make a metal on metal noise. I can stop the nose by holding the metal frame at the bottom where the door hooks on. Nothing is touching anywhere and everything looks okay, but something is definitely wrong. For temporary solution I put dryer back together and wedged a thick piece of cardboard between the dryer and the pedestal. With this in place it makes no noise, but the top of the dryer now vibrates really bad. Anyone have any ideas or maybe come across this before. This unit is just over 1 year old.

I’m pretty sure that the 180V 100uF cap is the problem as the safety overload breaker clicks on the compressor,
The cap reads Bad all day on my cap testers LC77 and “Z” meter, have you guys seen this usually being the problem or do those compressors go bad a lot? I did not have one to swap it out, the thermistor looked fine no arcing at all.

I have this bottom mount freezer that I removed the freezer door and big basket to
steam out the drain pan after replacing the drain update. I didn’t remove the rails. Now the door doesn’t seal tight on the right side. With the front off I can see that the track is not flush like on the left side only when the big basket is installed.
Nothing seems to be preventing the rail from going all the way back. I’ve made sure the gear teeth are are the same
and even with the rails extended. Am I missing something or is it just a bad rail?
