I have replaced the defrost heater and thermostat and I still have trouble with the unit not defrosting. Is there a way to force the control board into defrost to check/test the defrost circuit? I’m not a GE dealer so I don’t have tech support available to me like I do with Frigidaire. I own a small appliance store and have an account with Marcone and Sundberg. Can you give me any support? Thank you David Little 217-452-3219

I apparently have the same problem as shown in your video. What is the part number for that part? If it’s not available, what would be the part that would work?

I have a GE Profile side-by-side refrigerator (model number PSS25SGMDBS) which suddenly quit holding temperature. The input buttons on the control panel in the fresh food side wouldn’t take any input to dial the temperature up or down. I replaced this temperature control board (part number WR55X10120). When I plugged it back in the freezer and fresh food temperature displays each read ‘555’.
The + /- input buttons will dial up and down but the readings are still in three digits (444,333,222, etc). Incidentally, the + button lowers the number and the – button increase the number.
Is this indicative of another issue or is there a button sequence that I need to press to reset the system?

I can scan a photo of the stove. The florescent light bulb us just behind the clock, etc and is 36:inches in length. Do I have to move the stove away from the wall to replace the bulb, or is there an easier way?

I live in Brazil, my gas dryer is labeled as Brastemp but it is a Whirlpool Gas Dryer (just like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b08iUTzpncc). It stopped working and thanks to your videos i discovered that the electric motor was burned. After changing it the dryer started to work again but now it is overheating. Do you think can be the cycling thermostat (CT)?

I was watching the video: Refrigerator Repair – Not dispensing ice through the door – Maytag, Whirlpool MSD2550VE502. My ice won’t dispense, and I cannot turn the shaft. Can you give instructions for testing the motor? When it is on the bench? I believe the motor is the issue, but, the door wasn’t sealed a couple weeks ago…so…there may be some freezing in the door. I would like to test the motor before buying a new one, since they are a little pricy. My thoughts were, to pull the motor..and leave it out for a day….and then test it in the freezer door??
I guess I could remove the motor…and leave it out for a day or two..then re install it to see if that made a difference. …but would love to test the motor.
Thanks!

Hello!
My freezer door does not close well. I have to push it’s bottom to close it properly.
I think this is a problem with the door hinge.
I have attached a picture of the bottom part, This is how the part should look like? or it is broken?

Hi – I recently replaced motherboard, thermostat and Frzr thermistor due to defrosting issue on my GE PSS26SGRBSS. The heater reads 23 ohms and it is defrosting properly. Everything works on the fridge, however it stays on constantly (evap & condenser fans on), except during the defrost cycle. I took thermistors’ measurements in cold ice water and they were within the 16.1K ohm range. Placed thermometer in both cabins and the readings matched what’s on the fridge display. Even though the thermistors’ resistance is within the range, could they still be bad (i.e. not communicating correctly with the motherboard)? The unit cools down to set temp, but seems to take long time. Could you please help?

My washer fill but doesn’t start to wash or agitate after it fill. It change the light from fill to wash but stay that way and do nothing. If I put it on spin and drain it works great, so I believed that the motor is ok. When the machine is performing it locks the lid. What could this be, and how can i fix it? Thank for the You Tube help!

I keep finding them and don’t want them to get stuck in the pump. Can I clean out the drum somehow?

Also, pretty sure it’s the coils? Figured I should double check that with you.

My dryer needs some help! Has power, seems like it should start, but the drum doesn’t turn at all. Need this working and would be willing to take it apart if it’s something I can fix. If not, is it worth calling someone to come look?

Our dishwasher wouldn’t finish the rinse cycle and the lights just keep blinking. I tried canceling and draining but it seems completely unresponsive. Can I reset it somehow or try to restart it? I’d like to have it working, especially over the holidays.

Can’t seem to figure out whats going on with it, checked the element, fuse, thermostat, venting, and even cleared blower housing. But won’t heat up. Any help? about ready to give up.

I have a couple elements that have gone out on my stove. Is this pretty easy to do myself if I buy the parts? Don’t want to put a lot of money into this thing cause we’re moving soon. Couldn’t find a video so hoping somebody there can.

Our oven worked perfectly through Thanksgiving (thank goodness!) but last night I’m pretty sure it didn’t heat up to the preheat temp even though it said it had and beeped as if ready. Dinner took much longer than normal to cook and I’m wondering if something isn’t right. I’m going to have my boyfriend take a look at it if someone could point me in the right direction on what to check?

My washing machine fills up but doesn’t actually start. I came down hours later to find it had never began the load I put in. I was able to restart it and it worked all day yesterday. Just came down to find the same thing today. Why would it work sometimes and not others?

This dishwasher we have seems to only be cleaning the bottom rack, the top has a lot of leftover stuff left on the dishes. I checked hot water coming in, and even cleaned the spinners out from another video I saw on here. Now what?

Last week I opened the fridge to find frost everywhere. And then this week it seemed to not be keeping temperature. I’m at a loss and not very handy but am trying to have my husband take a look before calling in someone else. Thanks in advance for this!
