I have a Whirlpool French Door Bottom Mount Refrigerator. The icemaker has a slow drip out of the front of the icemaker heater cover. The water slowly drips down into the front ice bin. the Ice bin in the front door builds up with ice and eventually the water starts to run out of the opening of the front door and the water and Ice dispenser unit installed on the front door.
How do I stop the water from dripping out of the icemaker front cover?

Hello,
I followed your video for diagnosing my Kitchenaid (ksrl25fxms02) refrigerator’s ice maker as it had stopped producing ice.
I want to thank you for the clear presentation of the material. If was a refreshing change to have some clear, concise steps on interpreting the optical diagnostic codes and conducting the manual test of the ice maker’s harvest cycle that did not leave me wondering if I was doing something wrong.
Unfortunately, I am still getting mixed results that lead me to believe that perhaps the ice maker and the optical boards may both have problems.
I’m hoping that your experience will make some sense of what I am seeing and help me determine the best course of action.
After viewing your video, I unplugged my refrigerator, jumpered test points T and H then plugged the refrigerator back in and depressed the switch in the door so that the beam path was unbroken. I was surprised to see that the blinking led went from the 2 blink, 1 second pause code to a solid light. Previously, it continued the 2 blink, 1 second pause code no matter what i did. The harvest cycle never started during this first test, which led me to believe that the ice maker itself was bad.
I decided to repeat the test in precisely the same way and got a different result this time and a few additional times. In these subsequent tests, the led continued to blink in the 2 blink, 1 second pause pattern as it had before I followed the steps in your video and did not go to a solid light
This behavior leads me to suspect both the ice maker and the optical boards.
I wonder if you have observed this behavior before and if it is to be expected or if you have some thoughts on what the next steps should be.
Hopefully this makes sense.
Thank you

This unit is on city water and the city flushed the line and muddy water stopped up the filter. The customer replaced the filter and that is when the ice maker production almost stopped. I performed the harvest test and the water valve test and replaced the valve part # wpw10341329. I retested the water valve and it turned on and off OK. The nest day the customer called and said it still only made about 4 cubes. Does the water valve fill test deliver the precise amount of water in the test mode? What else can I test or do?

Customer called said the box would show sy. Ce. Then the main board would start clicking but she said box was still cooling. The f code usually means the main board is faulty.

The compressor is running and pulling 1 amp. the condensing coil is clean and both fans are running. I installed a service valve, on the suction line, at the compressor. when i attached the gauges it immediately went to 29 inches of vacuum. I unplugged the unit and it stayed at the same value. in your opinion what does this indicate. i’m waiting on r134a to be delivered so I haven’t tried adding any refrigerant to this point.

THE COMPRESSOR IS DRAWING 1.4 AMPS AND ALL FANS ARE RUNNING. I INSTALLED A SERVICE VALVE ON THE PROCESS STUB AND IT IS READING 70 PSIG. I DON’T HAVE A VALVE ON THE HIGH SIDE. THE PRESSURE DOESN’T MOVE WHEN THE UNIT IS UNPLUGGED. THERE WEREN’T ANY SERVICE VALVES PRIOR TO ME ADDING THE ONE. IS THIS AN INDICATION OF A BLOCKAGE, BAD COMPRESSOR OR SOMETHING ELSE. I’M RELATIVELY NEW TO REFRIGERATION AS MOST OF MY EXPERIENCE IS WITH A/C. THE UNIT IS NOT COOLING AT ALL. THE COMPRESSOR FEELS VERY HOT AS WELL.

I have a customer with an upright freezer. It stands taller than a regular fridge. Well I’ll get to the point. After diagnosing the problem, I proceeded to put the back evap cover panel back on AND I put the screw right thru the coil tubing. Ah s#~}%~~! I couldn’t believe that the screw hole was a 1/4 inch from the coil.
Well ” things happens” and it seems to happen to me an awful lot. The model / serial numbers that I gave to you, are barely readable, so I don’t even know IF they are correct. I offered to work something out with the customer, which turned out FOR ME to be a nightmare. She is a pack rat. It took me over an hour to remove the freezer from her house, because there was ONLY a path to get from one room to another. She had junk everywhere….
I took the freezer to a fellow repair tech that fixed the hole, blah blah blah. An hour after I dropped of her freezer, she called me to find out the status on it. One hour! I got several calls. So, I just stopped picking up the phone.
I offered to turn the case over to my insurance company but that was not an option…. So, I can’t tell you how many hours I spent trying to fix and satisfy this customer.
Here is my question, for further reference. I’m NOT going thru this again. Is there a website or something that I could use to determine the value of an appliance, and just pay the customer a fair price ?

The above washer is leaking from the tub seal and is loud in spin. I have not done this repair before but I’m thinking it is going to need the Kit support assembly. Part number WH16X10185. Has anyone done this repair? I would like to know if there are other parts I should be replacing as well. Looks like it has been leaking for a while. I’m familiar with changing out the mode shifter in other GE models but this is not quite the same and I did not find any good info on this repair. Thank you for any advise on this one.

Top freezer working fine. Bottom fridge is too warm. Watched your video, took apart top panel, evaporator fan motor not working. dial switch in fridge makes no difference. I tested wires to evaporator motor fan, not getting any voltage to fan motor? The fridge has the dial switch that says “coldest to lowest”. took that panel down, it has the thermostat dial switch, and there is a white square thing with wiring harness connected to it next to the dial switch.
What would be stopping power from reaching the evaporator fan motor? FYI, this all happened after a power pole was hit in neighborhood, causing outage/spike. The condensor and it’s fan is running fine, freezer is working fine. Just not the fridge.
